There were lots of vegan options, including a Valentine's Day dessert, but it was busy and we didn't have time to try the dessert unfortunately. My udon noodles and the popcorn were delicious. I would go back another day when there would be more time to relax and enjoy the meal. I would recommend it, but maybe not for Valentine's. Our servers were all excellent too but an hour for the table was too tight though I do understand it as I saw people without reservations turned away.
Finally got to try this spot on a chilly night in Ottawa. Great service, we asked to be moved to an earlier time slot, and they were very accommodating. It was pretty chilly in there since it's an old building, so wear a sweater! We got the crudo, kimchi, and Brussel sprouts to start. Brussels sprouts were unreal, and crudo was nice but very spicy. We then followed with the beast ramen and dandan noodles. Both were HITS! I love a small menu with everything banging. Would recommend to anyone in the neighbourhood to indulge in a cozy bowl. Ideal for small groups!
First time back at Paper Tiger since 2024 and it was just as cozy and wonderful as I remembered! We ordered the chicken karaage for starters (because how could you not?), the garlic noodles + dan dan noodles for mains + two desserts: the sticky toffee pudding and a Tim Hortons inspired crème brûle (with a lil donut!)
Everything was yummy, will be back for another special occasion again!

Came here for the first time and it’s a very cute intimate spot that doesn’t have a lot of seating so definitely recommend making recommend reservations so it’s very hipstery but plays, good music and good vibes.
Service was really good. The drinks are super unique and fun. Some of them even come in a little kitty cup. They have an every day special of a beer and a jalapeño sake shot for $14.
The chicken Karaage was really good, super flavourful and nice and crispy. We also got the garlic noodles and the beast ramen, but I will say I was pretty disappointed with it. The garlic noodles just had way too much different flavours in it, and it was overly salty. There’s almost too much of a flavour blast of cheese, smokiness, and salt. The broth in the beast Ramen would’ve been really good, but with the pickled cucumbers, it tasted really strange so if you’re looking for a place that is going to have real Ramen, this is not going to be your spot, but this is definitely a unique place for a fusion Ramen bowl. The meat that came in the beast Ramen is also just really thick bacon and it was very chewy and hard to eat.
Overall, if you’re looking for a unique experience with noodles and drinks Japanese style then yes you could come try here once but if you’re looking for authentic Ramen or just looking for regular noodles, this is probably not going to be the place to go to if your adventurous of food definitely come here and check it out, but I do recommend to the restaurant that they add less salt to all of their items.

Really great experience! Food was delicious service was excellent. Very cool vibe of a restaurant and delicious flavour across everything we tried, the beast ramen was my favorite. Will definitely be back!
We had a fantastic experience at Paper Tiger! We tried the beast ramen, garlic noodles with brisket and dan dan noodles and everything was fantastic. Probably one of the best ramen broth I've had! We went late afternoon on a Saturday and it was relatively quiet but got busy very quickly at the end and the place is relatively small so would definitely recommend reservations. Can't wait to be back!
I order there most popular dish which was the ramen noodles with bacon. It was so delicious and flavorful. I didn’t leave anything. Their drinks are pretty good.

Enjoyed the Vietnamese garlic noodle and the braised beef ramen which were amazing as always.
Also had to try the chicken wings and the Ube crème brûle which were both unique. The wings were seasoned perfectly and the Ube crème brûle was a new experience for us.
The flavours of the dishes were truly well balanced and very good.

I'm semi surprised by such high ratings. I thought the noodles were very salty and portions too small for the price, there are many Asian restaurants offering better dishes. Service was good.

Very flavourful dishes: chicken, sprouts & udon noodles. Generous portions. Solid service from behind the bar.
Good service, nice cool spot. Great potential Unfortunately, one negative comment, and a big one, is the Kaarage chicken being limited to 1 plate/order per table. With such an ultra limited menu and the only "meat" plate on it, limiting it to 1 order per table (we were a table of 6) is truly preposterous. I highly suggest offering another option or up your quantities. Telling us it's to offer everyone the chance to try it and the chickens cost 70$/piece is not a valid justification. Find a local supplier with the same quality who can help out on those quantities team, it will be just good business for you. Won't be going back just because of this - too many other restaurants to try.
