We have been going to Patty's for decades , for birthday parties or just family or friends get together or singing in a choir before Christmas or listening to some good Irish music ..service has always been friendly and food reliably good. We have many good memories and it is fun to see the new generations enjoying it too . The sign of a great and well run place .

This was the worst experience ever!!
I was really looking forward to visiting for the first time, but the server spilled mayonnaise all over my shoes and clothes. Instead of apologizing, they just said, “It was just an accident.” Their attitude was absolutely unacceptable. I will never be coming back.

I’m usually not the type to leave reviews on places, but my experience last night kind of shocked me. I went here with my boyfriend and my best friend on a tuesday night and it wasn’t all that busy. when my boyfriend and i ordered chicken tenders to share for a little snack, i had asked if we could get a mix of bbq and hot sauce , and the server in a very rude manner went “so medium?, that’s medium”. i just said sure. when the food came out, we politely called the server over since what was on our table was wings when we had ordered tenders. she immediately snapped and said “you had ordered wings” again in a tone that was completely condescending and rude, and turned away almost immediately. she did end up getting the right food out, but didn’t even try to apologize, and the way she was speaking to us made us believe that she didn’t think she made a mistake at all (which is totally normal and happens!) i myself am a server and would never even dream of speaking to a patron like this. mistakes happen, but you don’t speak to a customer in a way so rude that it’s uncomfortable, even if you believe that they’re wrong for correcting a mistake, just be nice, it’s not that hard. still tipped 15-20% across the table. anyways, i find it quite sad because i really did find the place really cute, but unfortunately we will not be returning.

Great dinner visit on a very busy Saturday evening. Food, fish and chips, Club Wrap and poutine were very good, but the fries were a bit tired and dry. Otherwise great. The atmosphere was fun and busy with a very friendly clientele.

The fries were over cooked.
The burger cold and unfortunately the service mediocre.
Won't be back.
This is the first time I have ever written a review. But felt that strongly.

This is an great place located in downtown Ottawa. Patty's Pub has good food and good service. Our fish and chips were rather thin and I suggest to get the two piece. The nacho's were over done as you can see by the photos. Service was good with our wait staff overly busy unfortunately. The decor of the restaurant could use an upgrade. Overall it's a good place to have a quick bite and a good beer.

Very cool old pub. Has a distinctive vintage charm. Old post and beams are exposed transporting you to another time. Great pub food. The hamburger was delicious.

I hadn't been to Patty's in 20 years. As I was in the area, decided to stop in for a couple of pints and a bite to eat. My friends and I used to stop once or twice a week, so the fact it hasn't really changed since then brought back a lit of great memories of friends who've long since left Ottawa.
My server Annie was outstanding and despite it being a Redblacks game day, she was attentive and extremely pleasant. Had a couple of IPAs and a fully loaded Patty's burger which was outstanding.
I'm always nervous going to an old haunt, but this was a great time. Thank you Patty's for a great time and rush of great memories.
