HIGHLY recommend the vegan pho and the vegan âchickenâ is incredible!! The food is like a warm hug.
While the food was good, the service was poor. We ordered online and we were offered free spring rolls if the order exceeded $40. Ours was over $50 so we saw the offer on the bill. When we picked up the order and brought it home, we didnât see the spring rolls. We called up the restaurant only to be told by the snarky person who answered our call that we hadnât âpressed on the buttonâ which highlighted the free spring rolls so the restaurant didnât see it. We explained that it wasnât clear that there was a button to be pressed. And anyway the rolls were free. He adamantly refused to offer us these rolls even though he acknowledged that they were free!! Very poor customer service.

Itâs our new favourite go-to restaurant since we moved to the new neighborhood Quinterra, in Ottawa South. The restaurant owner Ms Minh is also the main chef, she is super nice, and always trying to improve her menu with more varieties. Either you order Pho or her special soup Bun Bo Hue or Bun SuĂ´ng TĂ´m, beef and chicken broths are always delicious and very tasty. We love her summer rolls with shrimps, or grilled meats, theyâre very refreshing with fresh veggies and herbs. And of course, we canât say enough about her papaya salad to enjoy during this kind of heat and humid that we have this summer in Ottawa. My husband also tried bĂĄnh mĂŹ filled with grilled chicken or pork, even though we read the review earlier, but he found the meat is well marinated to make it so tender, accompanied with her homemade sauce with a hint of lemon grass, garlic, sweet and salty, and lots of shredded veggies, she doesnât use regular, boring salty soya sauce straight from a bottle like others, her bĂĄnh mĂŹ is so big that my husband could save some for the next day. Pho Kamlong restaurant had changed a new owner since January 2025, Ms Minh Vu and her entirely family working together at the restaurant. They are representing Vietnamese hard workers in Ottawa, working long hours and never complain. We strongly recommend everyone to try their food for lunch, dinner, or you can book a private party to celebrate any events as my husband had booked in May to surprise my 65th birthday with our family and friends.

My date and I both got a medium sized (P1) pho bowl of rare beef, very good!! I really enjoyed the generous amount of green onions and onion in the broth. I also got the summer roll of grilled chicken which is unreal good. Very fresh out of kitchen! My date got the pork spring roll, he said it was very good as well. The server was also kind and was able to repeat what we ordered back to us which was a big one for me.
Recommend coming here again for sure whenever I'm in this area.

This was our 3rd visit and as usual, the food was great. Plenty of parking. We were the only couple there at 5 p.m. on Canada Day đ¨đŚ. The waiter was okay but never smiled, asked us how our food was or if we needed anything else, and he seemed like he'd rather be elsewhere. Anywhere elsewhere. Still, I totally recommend this restaurant. Try the shrimp fried rice and the papaya salad.
