Myself and family were travelling from Toronto this past weekend. We ended up at Pili Pili for lunch by just searching restaurants near us. This experience had us talking about this restaurant for the whole weekend and even as we are back in Toronto. The owners and chefs of this restaurant were the most welcoming group I have ever met! I walked in because the smell from the charcoal grill on the street was so nice. Food came fast. Plantain was soft, rich and filling. Chicken was juicy and the salad fresh. The place has a vibrant and friendly neighborhood vibe. For $14 I was full.

**Order "spicy" only if you really love spice. My medium would probably be rated as spicy in other places, but it was good.

And the service was phenomenal. Not only did they serve me faster than expected (given how busy they were), but also offered a free drink for waiting.
