The egusi is not egusi. I’m not sure what they use, in Nigeria it’s a melon seed that is ground, but it tasted like couscous. It was the weirdest egusi I had ever had.

Do not buy food from here, their rice looked delicious, after having it I had food poisoning for so many days, my tummy hurt so much and still do... The rice was very soggy and the chicken was very hard, they might be making the food couple weeks before delivering it... The food here is so great and I would say one of the best Ottawa Nigerian spots! My favorite is their egusi, the owner is so kind and sweet, call for any accommodations and they’ll get right to it for you!

This in not what I expected the rice is terrible and I was really hungry this isn’t Nigerian jellof at all and that’s just unfair, the sauce isn’t even stew, how can I order food and be so angry when it comes, this completely unfair.

I usually don't like to give bad reviews. It may be because I am pregnant. I didnt like the Egusi or melon soup I ordered yesterday. And because of that I don't think I would want to order from this restaurant on uber eat. I had to eat the pounds with my vegetables.I didn't like the taste an smell of the melon at all. It may be different for someone else but I lost my cravings and appetite for the melon soup. Thanks

Ubereats had an issue today and it resulted in me getting charged with no order being placed for the owners to see. I called the restaurant and they were extremely understanding of the situation despite it not being their fault, even contacting Ubereats on my behalf to get me a refund which took a lot of time out of their busy day. Just for that, their service is a 5/5. Their food is incredible too, the portions are great, it's fairly priced, and it is flat out delicious.

I've eaten delivery from here at least 6 times. Every time it seems that the food gets better. Joloff is 10/10 as are the stewed grilled chicken and the plantain. I would say order the chapati, but they're in high demand, so don't...it leaves more for me :). If you do, be warned because you will crave them on the regular (my partner makes me order extra to make PB&J with the leftovers)
