As loyal Marriott Bonvoy travellers, we’ve come to expect a certain level of service, but our recent stay at the Delta Marriott left us wondering if hospitality is even a priority anymore. After a long-haul flight and delays due to grim weather in Ottawa, we arrived a little later than planned, hoping for a quick meal and a well-earned drink. The restaurant downstairs attached to the hotel had already closed its kitchen at 11 p.m. However, despite the bar still being open, we were abruptly told they were “closing shortly” and that we needed to order straight away. There were still over 20 minutes left, more than enough time to enjoy a quiet glass of wine, but instead of being welcomed, we were made to feel like an inconvenience. If a bar is open, guests should not be rushed out as if they are overstaying their welcome. In the end, we took our business across the street to The Royal Oak, where, despite the late hour, we were treated far better- greeted warmly, given time to enjoy our drinks, and even offered food. While this was just one hotel restaurant, it still represents the Marriott name and what the brand supposedly stands for. If this is the standard of hospitality they now find acceptable, we’ll certainly be rethinking where we stay in the future.

The woman who answers the phone / hostess has very poor customer service skills. She was visibly annoyed that we confirmed twice whether our order was correct. We should’ve confirmed three times because we never received our side of potatoes. The food is really good though

Excellent food but choices are limited to a two page menu. It’s part of the Delta Hotel off Lyon and Albert Street and parking is readily available with Delta’s underground parking.

Delicious lunch for such a good price, needed a quiet spot and it was easy to find one even though the place looked busy when I first stepped in. Oh and of course I quickly ran out of salsa and guacamole for my nachos - asked for more and got a big serving of both :) Thank you!

Excellent service from the hostess to the waitress Angela, both did a wonderful job, both me and my daughter were impressed with the professionalism and dedication of these girls in their work, so much so that my daughter took a liking to both of them from the first time, I give them a 10/10, this will be one of my favorite places in Ottawa and I hope to always be greeted by the kind smile of the hostess Pooja and served with the warmth of the waitress Angela.

I saw a video for Prova on Instagram and was so excited about going for my birthday. Unfortunately it is not what the local influencers have been advertising. Drinks are plain, pizzas are inconsistent (two of the same on our table did not taste the same + one way overcooked), chips were all crumbs. Service was friendly but mostly absent. Once the bills were paid, we were told "the reservation was made for a birthday" and inquiring if we would like a boxed desert to go. We were never offered a desert menu prior. Very dull, very bland, would not recommend.

I had a pizza last night at Prova after a friend recommended it, and I was impressed by the outstanding quality of the pizza for a hotel restaurant. The food quality exceeded my expectations, and the service from the staff was smooth and attentive. I will definitely be back for more pizza!
