Great place to get a meal for breakfast lunch and supper. They also have many pre-made options at an affordable price.

Perfect spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat from one of the food hall vendors. The cocktails were balanced and refreshing. Bartenders were attentive and very helpful with menu/drink questions.

I would give the barman zero for customer service. On top of that drinks are expensive. Lots of bars that are way better nearby. Give it a missed
Bar staff is always friendly and always the best drinks!
The pandemic shutdown has been tough on Queen Street Fare. We stopped in to Q Bar on a Friday night for some pre-dinner drinks. Service behind the bar was first rate. Fast, friendly, funny & charming. They have a nice selection of beers on tap & cocktails. I would ask them top possibly step up their wine game. Selections are not of superior quality. The bar is a perfect place to meet up with friends or make new friends before heading out for dinner. Lots of seats around the bar + a few scattered tables. We want this place to survive !
I stopped by to grab an early lunch (11am), as it had been recommended to me. The place was empty and quiet when I got there. It is an up-scale food court, with prices that go with it. I decided on the Mercadito (mexican food) and ordered the cochinita pibil tacos (14$ for 2 meager tacos and a few chips). For quantity vs. quality, I wouldn't necessarily go back. It's a nice spot to grab lunch for sure, and it's centrally located downtown and there are multiple food choices. A good thing about the place is that there is no trash = only compost and recycling. There is also a water station. Overall, a nice place to try but overpriced for what you get.
The bar is fire. Go for Duncan and stay for the special - $9 glasses of wine for 9 ounces. Who can beat that. The crowd is a mix of after work folks and confused tourists. Eating here is weird, it’s like a cafeteria with a bar

We walked along Sparks Street and chanced upon Queen St. Fare, across from the front of the CBC Canada building. It is no light fare, as far as what you’ll see and want to eat. Queen St. was full of lively action and good live jazz, around 6:30 pm on a weekday. There were many choices of food stations, but one shared help-yourself water station with cups and washrooms by the sprawling seating area. My family liked the Pad Thai noodles at Sen Kitchen, and the pizzas were good at Fiazza. I liked the price of their fresh salad with goat cheese, and the pizza had great toppings—everything for $20 tax-in. The dough was freshly rolled and not bad at all. My chicken breast on rice “Buddha Bowl” at Green Rebel was nutritiously tasty (just the way I’d ordered it with Kimchee instead of peanut sauce). I would say the wait in line was much shorter than at Fiazza, plus the desserts were better at Green Rebel. The Mexican food at Mercadito looked good (at a reasonable price), and surprisingly, drew more of a crowd than the burgers as a local option. The best thing, too, is everything is sold either compostable or recyclable in Queen St. In fact, there is no “waste” bin to be found, anywhere. Now that’s a systems-approach worth keeping!
Food court with lots of choices of different types of food. We chose pizzas from Fiazza and this was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. Freshly cooked and nicely served and they dealt with my cheese allergy brilliantly (clean utensils so no cross-contamination). Not too busy when we arrived at 11.30 but when we left at 12.30 there were only a couple of empty spaces.
My girlfriends and I arranged to meet for lunch downtown and one of them had suggested 'Queen St. Fare'. We arrived just around noon and the place was PACKED! It's a very cool concept and they sure had a good lunch turn out. My two friends both ordered a wood fired pizza from 'Fiazza'. One had the 'Majik Mushroom' : Red sauce, cheese blend, organic mushrooms, Italian truffle oil, and fresh parmesan. (Which she described as rich and filling) and the other 'The Carbonara' : Alfredo sauce, cheese blend, smoked bacon, roasted onions, fresh rosemary, fresh parmesan and chili flakes. (She adored it) Both pizzas were a good size and both totally disappeared! I chose to go to 'The Sen Kitchen' and I ordered a Spicy Shrimp Tom Yum Noodle Soup ($12.99) and a Pork Belly Steamed Bao. ($5) The soup was nice and I couldn't finish it all but it could have been a tad more flavourful and it certainly wasn't spicy. They do have an area with condiments you can add so I certainly went for more Sriracha. The Bao was simple but yummy and a nice addition to my soup. It's a nice concept and it's certainly a more interesting and healthy place to go for a quick lunch than to a regular food court with the Subway's, Kentucky Fried Chicken and A&W. Being located where it is it gets a really good lunch crowd from all the surrounding downtown office buildings. There was a fair amount of action at Mercadito, Chef Rene Rodriguez's Mexican spot (former owner of Navarra in the Byward Market and Winner of Top Chef Canada in 2014) as well as the Gourmet Burger Spot 'The Capital Burger Counter'. 'Green Rebel', had a long line of enthused diners waiting to purchase their upscale salad boxes but I thought their smoothies seemed a little pricey $7-$8.75. That being said, you probably pay that at Booster Juice for a large size. All in all it was a fun, positive experience and I do want to go back and try that pizza! :) Next time I'd wait to go until around 1:30 p.m. when the work crowd heads back for the afternoon and the noise level dissipates. Go try it!!!
I regularly visit this location for lunch but I have now gone after work (great spot to host an event!) and on the weekend (lots of choices for a family). If you are with a group, everyone has tasty options to choose from and they won't be disappointed.
The food was good, but the music (recorded) was way too loud to have a decent conversation...we had to sit outside of the action in the atrium so we could talk over dinner!
