What an unassuming gem of a restaurant. Tried all the chef's recommendations, and am now on a mission to return again and again to work my way down the list of every other menu item.

I was really excited to try this restaurant - the portion sizes are good, the service is excellent and friendly! However, I wish there was more spice and picked mustard greens to add more dimension to the tofu noodle dish. It wasn’t spicy at all even when requested. I loved the atmosphere and the fact it is family owned.

I picked up a green tea salad and the Chicken (shan khaukswel). Not only was it so delicious, the portions are so generous. I have more than half of the chicken dish left, and am sooo looking forward to having it tomorrow for lunch!

This restaurant is so authentic and the owner is so sweet and invested in the food.

Delicious food, great people. The chicken and tea salad is amazing. Used to dine here all the time as a kid and recently came back - awesome as always!

Delicious food and excellent service. The mohinga soup and green tea salad were both unique and memorable in the best sense and the Shan chicken was tasty and filling. Warm and personal service was the cherry on top. Looking forward to our next visit.

It is really hard to go wrong when you come to Rangoon. The staff is just so delightful and attentive. And the food is oozing with authenticity.

My friend has been taking me here for years, and every time he’s back in town. It is the first stop for him. I’m vegetarian so there are fewer options, but they are such delicious options. My personal favourite has always been the mushrooms and tofu. They are seasoned with this amazing buttery goodness that I literally cannot describe.

If you have never been, I think it’s time for you to give it a try and see how Burmese food is different from traditional Chinese food .

Been going here since it's location downtown (it's in Chinatown now) and on top of being extremely unique, the food is exceptional. Recommend the fish soup, the eggplant main dish, and the spring rolls.

One of the best meals I've had in ages. Every single dish was phenomenal. (I also tasted my friends) The fish soup was a highlight but their squash main dish was also sublime.

Very good food experience! Noodles were delicious and the beef very tender!
Try it you’ll like it!!!

I went with one other person. We had all the “chef’s recommendation” items on the menu: Burmese spring rolls, green tea leaf salad, eggplant, and chicken with noodles and peanut bits. All were delicious, with contrasting and exciting flavours and textures, and the best chili-sesame condiment ever on the chicken. Oh, and the green tea leaf salad is really just the best ever version of a Caesar salad, tangy and crunchy and tasty. The owner/chef is also lovely. I’ve been here a few times now and will be coming back!

We shared all the chef's specials, and they were delicious. Nuanced flavours, deep and well structured. The dishes were varied, beautifully presented as well, and the service was kind and personal. Would go many more times.

I tried this restaurant for the first time after wanting to try it for a while and was unfortunately really disappointed. I found the portions to be really small and the meat to be very dry with not much flavor. This could be because I ordered for takeout but still was really disappointed and didn't finish my food.

Loved our dine in experience at Rangoon. Staff are so kind and helpful. The menu is short and sweet, which is how you know everything is good. We were two and ordered the spring rolls, and our server brought two plates with two dipping sauces. Such a thoughtful gesture which has never happened to me! Definitely recommend and we will be coming back.
