Restaurant Eighteen is a favourite and we introduced friends to the restaurant to celebrate a milestone birthday yesterday. The classic old fashioned that we love did not impress and the amazing espresso martinis had been taken off the cocktail menu. We opted for the winter prix fixe menu. The classic Caeser salad has changed and was not as enjoyable. The Miso Blackened cod was amazing as were the chocolate orange desserts. The steaks were cooked to perfection but were lukewarm. The amazing ambiance and excellent service impressed our guests. We look forward to perfection next time.

I took my girlfriend here for the valentines special they had for the day, I definitely would recommend to any couple going out for a special occasion. The food were small portions but unbelievably tasty, we were taken aback by the portion size but it was presented beautifully and every bite was very savoury. The service was amazing the staff were very nice and helpful to every question we had. Definitely check it out.

The very pleasant interior, with old stone walls and a modern, large fireplace, creates a cozy, warm ambiance. Filling a historical place with today's sophisticated amenities.

Had never been to this Ottawa icon before. It was excellent. Wife and I had the prie fixe (sp?) with wine pairings, and it was really good. Fancy, but still “accessible” if that makes sense. I had a Caesar salad and the steak. I'm sure it had “fancier” ingredients, but it was still just a solid example of the dish listed. It was pricey, no doubt. Very much a “special occasion” kind of place for us mere mortals.
My boyfriend brought me here for a date night and it was amazing. We both had steak and it was genuinely the most delicious steak I've ever eaten in my life. It was so juicy and full of flavor, I was devastated when I finished eating because I wanted to savor it more. It is very pricey, but I thought it was worth the cost. It was also very beautiful and relaxing, the lights were dim and cozy, and it was just quiet enough. The staff were also very polite and professional:D

Dined there 1 year ago on a visit to Ottawa. Really enjoyed it and remembered our experience. so we went again open this visit now. Excellent as before. Beautiful decor and ambiance. The food and service are outstanding. Great place. Highly recommend
