Sadly, I didn't have a good experience with my family at e18hteen. We had 4 issues with our food, for a group of 6. I got the wrong side, which was actually fixed very quickly. Someone got meat on their salad when they specifically asked for none (which the server confirmed verbally). It was then fixed. That's fine, these things happen.Then I cut into my meat and found it was undercooked, but learned from a family member that they got my piece - so we swapped. Neither of our 2 sides were the same, so we definitely didn't get the wrong plate either. Alright, not the best experience but not a huge problem.However, that family member's peppercorn sauce tasted exactly like bathroom cleaner. It was like they didn't rinse the saucer before serving it. A few of us tasted it to make sure we weren't crazy and it tasted like chemicals. I don't even know what to say about this.At this point, we collectively agreed to never return. This was not the quality we expected when we picked e18hteen for my mother's 60th birthday.

Excellent food, taste and presentation with stunning setting and warm ambience makes this restaurant dinner a beautiful experience. Waiters are friendly and hands on. Been here before; this evening there was some delays with the starters, but they were apologetic and gracious about it. Overall good experience, highly recommended.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary and have a fabulous experience. We started with scallops then had the duck (amazingly good) and then had the white mousse strawberry dessert. Food was excellent and the service was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Absolutely would recommend.

This place is incredible. It’s worth every penny. Staff are amazing and GENUINE. Food very good. Atmosphere is just perfect. Accommodated my request to the point. You want to impress this place will have your back. You must try their pistachio chocolate cake.

The staff were pleasant and the ambience was excellent. Our prawn appetizer was disappointing - if they were prawns they were quite small on the other hand the steak tartare was very good although my partner thought it had a bit of a vinegar aftertaste. I had the ribeye steak which was good and my partner had the lamb chops which she ordered medium rare - they came very rare to the point of being partly raw in the centre part. Deserts were good. Overall a pleasant venue for dinner - a bit overpriced but we expected this in Ottawa.

Both the shrimp and Caesar salad appetizers were not as good as they have been in the past, and one of our steaks was way too rare. Service was excellent though and they comped our dessert to make up for the undercooked steak.

We had a fantastic time at this first class, beautiful restaurant. We were a little disappointed in the rack of lamb as it just wasn't as tender as we expected. Everything else was superb!

Came here for an anniversary dinner - our waiter Adam was phenomenal and kind. Thank you Adam!We never had to wait for water as our glasses were always topped up. The food was delicious and while our steak might have been undercooked they did make it right and were incredibly polite. I’d 100% come back here. The atmosphere was also very classy yet cozy. Had a great time, would recommend
Ok , first time trying out this restaurant, honestly, not a big fan of restaurants around the Byward market area but :If I could live 6 starts to this place , I'll give them 7 .Amazing experience ,food and drinks excellent, atmosphere amazing , amazing service as well.Thanks Alex " Mario " for the service:)

Family wedding early January 2024. It was a lovely. The staff were so nice and helpful. The food was amazing! Approximately 30 people, service in front of fireplace, a little twirl on the dance floor and fabulous food. 5/5

Beautiful venue in historic building, hard to match. It was dead quiet, surprising during Winterelude even for a Sunday night. The food and service were good and about fair value for the price, maybe lacking a bit in portion size. My expectations are high as a big eater when paying $29.00 for a salad and $58.00 for a piece of Black Cod. We brought our own wine and paid the corcage fee [$30.00] but still managed to spend $250.00 for 2 people.
