My wife and I love this place. Pizza and salads are delicious with the real Italian vibe, especially the ones with Bufala cheese. We always get great service from Joe who is a very friendly waiter and has excellent customer skills. My only suggestion would be to make a reservation ahead of time as they are always busy for last minute orders/reservations.

We had a wonderful time at Retro Gusto. Their menu is simple - some apps, some greens and mainly pizza. We started our meal with the suppli. This was my least favourite bite of the night. The cheese overpowered the saffron and it ate salty. We then had zucchine and salamino pizzas. Both were delicious. The caramelized tender zucchini was an absolute marvel. The highlight on the table were the chilli oil and hot honey! The service was impeccable.

Good vibes and friendly service! We tried Suppli (a bit salty for me), Arrosticini, Caesar salad, and three pizzas: Margherita con Bufala, Funghi, and Salamino. The lamb skewers were tasty and the pizzas were all good. I really liked the rich mushroom flavor on the Funghi and the sweet spicy kick from the Salamino. The tiramisu was creamy, well-balanced, and alcohol-free!

Beau was lovely and shared all the specials once we were seated in this great vibe eatery. Had the pickled veg and hot honey mortadella- both delicious! Shared a thin crust Za- could have gone for a second but restrained ourselves to enjoy the cocktails. Wonderful place- truly enjoyed our experience. Will come back again
Loved the food and the service! The place has a charming antique Old Italy vibe. We ordered the salami and olive antipasti and the caprese salad—both were extraordinary. The Mico pizza was absolutely delicious, and for dessert, don’t miss the tiramisu! Even though we were full, we couldn’t leave a bite because it was that good.

My three friends and I went to Retro Gusto for dinner last night. We had a such a great time, I forgot to take pictures!
We shared the Retro Caesar as an appetizer and we ordered three pizzas to share: the Salamino, the Zazzich, and the Zucchine. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu and cannoli.
All the dishes were delicious and the ingredients were fresh. I'm not much of a pizza person so for me to say this was one of the best pizzas I ever had, means a lot! I love the thin crust and the authenticity of the ingredients. The size of the Caesar and the pizzas was enough to share with four people.
When we arrived, we were told they were short staffed and it might take awhile for us to get our food. The only wait we had was for the dessert-it took about 20 minutes but my friends and I were so busy talking that we didn't mind the wait, especially since the desserts were AMAZING! Best cannoli ever! The staff is very friendly and there was someone going around always topping our water glasses.
I have one small criticism when it comes to the bathrooms. The bathroom sinks are long but narrow. The designer chose a faucet that is too long for a narrow sink. As a result, when you turn the taps on, the water is really near the edge. When I put my hands under the water to wash my hands, water splashed all over the floor, including my toes (I was wearing sandals). Very poor design planning and the designer should have known better. I'm an interior decorator and poor execution bothers me. I didn't take any stars away from my review for this because this is the fault of the designer/contractor and nothing to do with the owner or staff of the restaurant.
Would highly recommend eating here!

Great spot! Myself and my friends wandered in on a busy Friday night and somehow got seats at the bar. The staff were chatting with us for a lot of the night, and they were just lovely. We had questions, they had answers; can't say enough kind things about the staff working FOH.
And lucky for us, the service was matched in quality by the food. We had a few appetizers, some drinks, some pizza, some pasta, and everything was delicious. The food came out at a leisurely pace, which I appreciated; not slow, not rushed, it felt just right.
As well, the vibes were perfect. It was a little loud, BUT not due to music! I hate it when a nice place has obnoxiously loud music playing (which is a lot of places these days). This place was just packed and people were talking, so no fault of the space on that one.
I'll definitely be returning sooner than later :)
