Incredible ambiance, good music, and amazing food! Service was a bit slow, although nothing that would not make me want to go back, the food is absolutely worth it.

Only had drinks at the bar but they were great. Tried the pear pressure, London calling, heat is on and welcome to the jungle and they were all great cocktails. Service was good, I’d come back for sure! Beautiful place ◡̈

The server kept rushing us to order and looking over, when we had over an hour left to our reservation. My friend and I lost our appetites and decided to skip a second meal. I will pass on coming back to this establishment.

Food was fantastic, we had the chicken. Our server was hilarious and made the experience super fun. We couldn't have had a better time. The woman at the front was super kind as well.

We are out of towners who came to visit family earlier this month and they brought us to this wonderful restaurant! I had the Lobster spaghetti and it was amazing! Espresso martini was divine and the staff very attentive. We will for sure recommend. Thank you for the great experience!

Some restaurants lean on location. Or decor.

Riviera does not.

Beautifully located in a former bank building on Sparks Street, and tastefully decorated with intimate lighting and comfy seating- we felt welcomed from walking in the door to ordering, to the time we walked out full and entirely satiated.

Gorgeous atmosphere, professional friendly and knowledgeable staff actively cultivating a positive environment and a great experience.

Cocktails were well balanced and the dessert was perfect.

The scallops were melt in your mouth buttery- the mushroom toast was rich and stands as a full meal or a good option to pair with other beautiful options.

Thanks for a great experience. 🩷

The food there was impressive and service just right for the vibe. I would like to recommend this place as a big fan.

I went to Reviera for a date night with my Fiance, safe to say they didn't dissapopoint at all. I'm a vegetarian & for that night they didn't have anything on the menu for me, however the chef was kind enough to surprise me with a mushroom spaghetti pasta which I loved. The wine was amazing too. Loved the cozy vibe the place had to offer. :)

This place is overrated. The venue is stunning but the tables are so packed in that you’ll have people two feet away from you with zero separation. The food was good, but there are better options nearby. They have a really long cocktail menu, and we tried a bunch of them but all of them were underwhelming.

Salad was not good.
Egg mushroom on toast with egg was good but overpriced (30$ for one toast with egg?)
Burger had no meaty flavour.

Maybe the best restaurant in Ottawa? Seafood towers are over the top but superb, great service and bartenders.

My partner and I have come to Riviera twice now for special occasions, and we plan to make it tradition going forward. From the moment we walked in, everything felt so curated to us and our special occasion. We feel as if we are treated like family. From the drinks, to the food and the staff, everything about Riviera is about the experience. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

We ate steak and frits. We eat at various restaurants looking for a great steak. This place did not hit the mark. I like steak on its own. Steak with gravy does not do it for me. I like my steak rare which they did a good job on but a bit chewy (strip loin)… no other cuts to choose from. The fries were mediocre … At that price point I would have expected something more. Bread was excellent.. creamy butter excellent… whiskey sour excellent. The waiter was just ok but not horrible. All in all I give this restaurant a 6 on 10 and will not return.

I like the food. Beef tartare is very nicely done. The king salmon is spectacular. I have the pavlova/poached pear dessert and it's really lovely. Can't really say anything bad about the food. Seating is comfy, and the restaurant itself is in an old (banking?) hall with wonderful high ceiling etc. All very nice. Our server is friendly and professional, as is the manager (?) on duty. So why am I not giving it 5 stars?

When I made the reservation, I specified that I am there to celebrate an anniversary. When we showed I was asked if it's a special occasion, and again i told them. Apart from a nice happy anniversary, I would have thought that a restaurant of this calibre would do something nice. I don't know what, but like, a nice piece of cake? A piece of candy? Something to help us mark the occasion of a $500 dinner? Looks like I was expecting too much. For, nada.

In contrast, I can't noticing that the table next to ours appeared to be celebrating a birthday, and a nice cake with a candle on it was brought out. I know, envy isn't becoming, but I can't help feeling let down. I had wanted something special to commemorate a 42 year wedding anniversary, and was thinking the Riveria would provide a nice venue for it. But alas, while I enjoy the food overall, the restaurant really doesn't help me with my celebration. Granted, it's my celebration and not theirs, but still.... For that, I cannot very well rate my experience 5 stars.
