Best Indian restaurant in town everything is 10/10 thank you guys š
Food was decent
Service was good.
Donāt bother ordering the samosas.
They went fresh.
It was obvious they reheated them in the microwave.
Otherwise than that it was good.
Delicious! Better than all other biryani Iāve ever had in Ottawa ā„ļøš¹šµšø
We walked by the place as from the outside it appeared closed and gloomy, but decided to peep in, and it's was quite no nonsense kind of positive place.
Owners have worked on food to suit the local pallet and I think they have been able to achieve it.
If you are Indian, who is looking for those authentic flavors then this may not be the best place but if you are someone trying Indian food, this is the place.
Ingredients were fresh and aromatic
No complaints at all
Serve was positive
Honestly, I think this restaurant has fallen off. Iāve been ordering from here for years and the quality and service isnāt what it used to be. Still pretty tasty and enjoyable, but not enough to justify $30 per meal anymore.
I feel the āregularā portion and ālargeā portion are more or less the same. Not much chicken is included in the butter chicken.
If Iām able to place an order for delivery, there will often be a chance of it falling through, a couple weeks ago I placed an order through Uber and after 40 minutes I got a notification that the restaurant couldnāt follow through with my order. Not what I want to see when Iām hungry for dinner. So, instead, I chose to place an order for pickup this time. About 10 minutes after getting a notification that my order was ready, I showed up to the restaurant only to be told my order is not ready. 5 minutes later, I received my food and it wasnāt hot. I wouldāve expected this if it had been sitting out for 10 minutes but expected it to be hot if it was prepared after I showed up.
Unfortunately, it costs too much to be disappointed this frequently and I have decided to stop ordering from this restaurant.
I tried the food around 5 years ago and I cannot forget the taste. It was realllllllly good. I am always worried about if they are fresh. But they did a really good job. hope to go this week with my wife. :)
Had chicken byrany and got FOOD POISONING!!! Chicken was not freshly cooked, tasted like it was reheated many times!!!
Best tandoori chicken ever, meat was juicy and tender.
Masala chai is also must try
We stopped on our way to Quebec, the food was okay but charging 15-20% automatically for tip isnāt okay. And then stating that itās because itās the weekend and we were a party of 3+. Will not recommend this place.
I wonder whether the reviews for this place are artificially inflated somehow. We've tried it twice, and while it's ok, nothing tastes super fresh or amazing.
Restaurantji Recommends
Shahi paneer and butter chicken are some good options here
Tasty Indian food in town
They have a Shahi Paneer that is, to put simply, to die for - extremely flavourful and creamy, hitting all the right spots. Service is always friendly and food is delicious; you can never go wrong with such a perfect combination! If you are looking for a great Indian place in downtown Ottawa, you would never go wrong with Roast N Curries!
A weekly treat. Weāve tried every item on the menu and it all tastes great
