My family regularly orders from Sabai and always enjoy the food. Favourite dishes include the red and yellow curries, the pad kee mao, the cashew stir fry, and the eggplant stir fry. We also enjoy their fresh rolls, which are huge. They use fresh ingredients and prepare the food with care. We've ordered for groups including people with seafood allergies and they are always able to accommodate with no problems, which is fantastic. The staff are also very friendly, professional, and accommodating. A great spot to have nearby.

I love Thai food and have it frequently. I have been to this restaurant multiple times, but unfortunately, the quality and service seem to keep getting worse over time.

Today was October 10 (this date matters later). We went for lunch as a family. My wife ordered Thai tea, and my daughter ordered a mango juice for $3.50.

When the drinks arrived, my daughter started drinking hers. My wife tried the juice and said it tasted awful. I tasted it too. It was terrible and moldy. We checked the can, and the expiry date was May 4.

We told the waitress, “Sorry, this juice is really off. It’s expired.” She took it without surprise. We then heard someone in the back say, “Just give them another one. Give them the lychee one.” We politely said, “Thank you, but please cancel the juice.”

Our food arrived. My dish was fine, not as good as it used to be, but acceptable. My wife’s yellow curry was decent. Then came our daughter’s pad Thai. Being cautious after the juice incident, we tasted it first. It also tasted off.

My wife and I love pad Thai and have tried it at most places in Ottawa. This one tasted strange, as if the chicken was undercooked or had gone bad.

We hesitantly told the waitress that the pad Thai didn’t taste right. We never send food back, so this felt awkward. She didn’t seem thrilled but took it back and said they would make it again.

Two minutes later, the same plate came back warmer and drenched in extra sauce. We tried it again, but it was still off. We told our daughter not to eat it. The full plate sat on the table. The waitress never checked if it was any better.

When we got the bill, they charged us fully for the pad Thai. We were too shy to argue, so we paid for a dish that wasn’t edible.

This was our last time here. If you care about your health and love Thai food, try somewhere else. We certainly will.

P.S. We paid $5.50 for the shrimp rolls (you get two rolls). As you can see in the pictures, it wasn’t even de-veined! It is really gross. We didn’t eat that either.

We were trying it for the first time so went greedy and ordered A LOT! We left with overly full tummies and happy souls! Everything was full of flavors and perfectly made. I’d love to return and highly recommend!

been here many times, the curries are all good but i like the red ones the best. pad siew and pad ki mow are also delicious if you like noodle dishes!

Their online order system doesn’t give you accurate notifications. My notification that the food was ready was at least 30 min late as it arrived after I’d picked up, driven home, and eaten the food. I arrived when the food was supposed to be ready according to when I ordered but there were six bags of food sitting on the counter when I got there and my food wasn’t hot anymore. I’d order from this place more often if I knew when the food would actually be ready for pick up.

Food was terrible, Staff was really rude and dismissive, The food portion sizes have literally gone down hill. Hardly one persons portion.

Ordered the yellow curry and Penang beef and the portion for each curry was cut into half from couple months ago.
Staff has absolutely no idea of giving an estimate time. Was told food would be ready in 20 minutes… got there and she says it’s going to be another minute… 10 minutes go by and she says a minute again. Waited a total 45 minutes after getting there. I initially asked where my food was and how long it would take she just shrugged and just walked past. The people sitting in looked like they were just lost on where their food was. The manager who looks like she sits in the dining area was not helpful at all… it definitely looked like the restaurant was struggling to keep up and she was just sitting staring at her calendar and texting from the time we got there. After couple people asked on the status of the food she gets up and she basically takes over the role of the one other staff around that place. Same dialogues same rudeness different person.

Taking my business elsewhere, definitely not worth the price or my time.

I loved it here! This was my first time having halal thai. My friend and I shared two dishes and a tea. It was delicious and filling and heavy on the vegetables which I really appreciate 💕 the staff was very nice and I liked the modern music they were playing. Overall a wonderful experience and great value! I will definitely be back.

This restaurant is taking advantage of people who don't know any better. It's a shame because they used to be more generous a year ago.

We ordered $200 worth of food using uber eats, most items had VERY LITTLE meat, the mango salad was missing shrimp and the quantities were small in general for the price. Never again.

I commend the kitchen on a wonderful meal we picked up for take out Feb 15/25. However, one of the dishes we ordered was a mango salad with shrimp, but there was not a single piece of shrimp in the container.

I understand Saturday night is very busy, and oversights may occur (often? I can't say), but I had to speak up here because 1) there is no feedback links on the website and 2) considering how costly it is to eat out with todays prices, it was very 'painful' to pay $17 for a bowl of only mangoes, onions and other seasonings (still delicious mind you!).

Plus, I'm not a big fan of places that jack the prices of the lunch menu by about $3/dish for what appears to be the same dish on the dinner menu. Great food, but I might not eat here again for a while.

Reliably fantastic food, reasonably priced, and the service is friendly and attentive but not imposing. Can't really beat it, especially hard to find a gem like this these days.
