An absolute hidden gem in the heart of Little Italy. Everything here is authentic — no shortcuts, no gimmicks. The owner literally hand-makes everything from scratch, right in front of you — from the sauces to the perfectly cooked meats. The bread for his sandwiches are made with 100% Italian flour flown in, and every recipe comes straight from his roots growing up in Italy with his skilled mother. Even the veggies are fresh, vibrant, and add to the homemade feel. You can taste the pride and tradition in every bite. This guy is a true master of his craft — an authentic one-of-one in Ottawa. Once you try it, you’ll be hooked.

I came here not sure what to expect, and had a coffee and a sandwich, both of which were incredible. This is a lovely spot with great food and coffee. The sandwich felt homemade (in the best way) and gourmet at the same time. It made my day.

Exceptional! That's the first word that came to mind after taking a bite of Sanguiccio's Italian Cold Cuts sandwich. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the freshness is out of this world. The atmosphere is ideal for savoring your meal, and the owner genuinely cares about every guest who walks through the door. I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself!

This is authentic Italian cuisine at its finest! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Im visiting from Seattle, WA and while exploring with a friend, we decided to stop here. Im so glad we did. The atmosphere feels like im in someone's home. The owner is chopping veggies and herbs in front of everyone, not hidden behind any door or screen. We ordered the prosciutto and provolone sandwich along with a canolli. They were both life changing. He adds tomatoes and onions in olive oil on the side. My friend HATES tomatoes but willingly ate them. That's how you know how good it was. The sandwich bread was crispy, the prosciutto fresh and the cheese amazing. The olive oil was my favorite part. He puts some sort of magic in it i swear. Go here if you can
