Exceptional! That's the first word that came to mind after taking a bite of Sanguiccio's Italian Cold Cuts sandwich. The flavors are perfectly balanced, and the freshness is out of this world. The atmosphere is ideal for savoring your meal, and the owner genuinely cares about every guest who walks through the door. I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself!

This is authentic Italian cuisine at its finest! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Im visiting from Seattle, WA and while exploring with a friend, we decided to stop here. Im so glad we did. The atmosphere feels like im in someone's home. The owner is chopping veggies and herbs in front of everyone, not hidden behind any door or screen. We ordered the prosciutto and provolone sandwich along with a canolli. They were both life changing. He adds tomatoes and onions in olive oil on the side. My friend HATES tomatoes but willingly ate them. That's how you know how good it was. The sandwich bread was crispy, the prosciutto fresh and the cheese amazing. The olive oil was my favorite part. He puts some sort of magic in it i swear. Go here if you can

Sat down for a sandwich, I don't think I've ever had a sandwich so fresh and delicious, great service.

What makes good food? Quality ingredients. Well made dishes. Flavour, freshness, love and more. Sanguiccios has this all. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and the smell was delightful as I came into the shop. Like stepping into an Italian home kitchen. The atmosphere of the shop may not seem like much but it has a quaint air of home about it. The owner was kind and you can tell he loves making fresh, quality food for people. No compromises. Just food that is fantastic and fresh. I had a sandwich, honestly I can't even tell you the name of it. I asked the owner what he had and he mentioned the sausage sandwich, and I asked for it. It took a short while for the owner, Genio, to make the food as he had other people to serve, but good food is always worth the wait.
The sandwich was delicious. The sausage was well prepared, the tomatoes and other toppings fresh. I'll be back to try more food, perhaps to dine-in, relax and slow down in a little slice of Italy that's been dropped down in Ottawa.

This hole in the wall deli/cafe is THE spot for real Italian. Got the breakfast sandwich and WOW. Highly recommend for a cute spot with nice folks.

The best porchetta I have ever had. Period. About as authentic a tiny Italian family sandwich shop as you could possibly imagine. Wish I knew about this place earlier!
