One of the best steaks I had. Staff are very accommodating and friendly and kept up with water and drinks. The menu is a bit pricey definitely but worth it!
I was pleasantly surprised to see this place. Very nice decor and welcoming staff. Our waitress (ANNAH) was a gem. She knew what she was doing . No wait time for service. We were a small group of 6 men who didn't know exactly what they wanted, but she patiently explained the menu and the best options for our tastes. She took the time to explain everything to each of us .....I give her 1st place for patience. The co-owner came by to make sure we liked the food and were comfortable. Overall a great experience! I will be going back again.
Went for dinner with another couple tonight at Savanna. Great service and several menu options that caught our eyes. Had the pork belly appetizer, lamb, salmon and the chocolate dessert. All were excellent. Will certainly be returning!
It's very pricey, however the food is really good
For the price, you would expect the experience to be excellent. However, the food was mediocre and the service was not up to par. Definitely not worth it. There are much better high end restaurants in Byward.
Food, atmosphere, ambiance, and service were all exceptional. Highly recommend going with family or friends to experience Savanna Lounge. Our group went upstairs around 11 pm to their lounge to enjoy music and bottle service, the atmosphere and vibe is exceptional! Very unique, as Ottawa doesn’t have many lounges.
Our first time visiting here. We had reservations for 5pm but the doors were not open until almost 5:10pm leaving us and a few other patrons standing in the cold for a bit. The visit did improve once we got in. Lovely setting and ambieance. We had the dozen oysters and Boston letuce wraps to start. Both were amazing! My husband had the Short ribs, fantastic, I had the King Salmon, the salmon was cooked as requested and delicious although I found the sauce and potatoes underneath very salty and greasy. Serving it with a nice rice and some roast vegetables I think would make it nicer and healthier dish imho. Our waiter was excellent and timing was perfect. Drinks albeit on the pricy side and small were very tasty. If it was not for the waiting in the cold and the salty salmon it would have been 5 stars. We will be back.. great place for a romantic dinner or special occasion!
One of the finest restaurants in ottawa! The cocktails were the best I've ever had in the city and I'm still dreaming about the sushi. As for my steak it was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. Big thank you to our server Hannah who made our dining experience unforgettable.
This restaurant has a lot of potential but seems poorly managed. To start this review off on a positive note: our waitress was nice and the location is central. Food was decent.Unfortunately it took us over an hour to get our food and all we ordered was sushi and fries. There was no music and the food was overpriced. I wouldn’t go here again.
This place looks beautiful, but is very deceiving. I was meeting a party here, me and my boyfriend got there a bit late and we’re left a table by ourselves because they didn’t not want to accommodate pushing the tables together, we ordered a drink, and I think that was the only good part of this place. The waiter almost never came back to fill our water, the glasses for water were fairly large but he would only fill about 1/4 of the glass and wouldn’t come back unless we asked him to. I ordered the King Salmon, the plate was like a soup. The salmon was burnt, taste awful, the sides for the salmon dish was brussel sprouts and potatoes, I got maybe 2 brussel sprouts cut in half and two tiny potatoes. My boyfriend got the vegetarian pasta dish as he doesn’t like seafood, the pasta was so unbearably spicy you couldn’t taste anything other than the chilies and they never came back for to give us water. After dinner we went upstairs to the lounge to have the birthday girls cake and just hangout. We were told cake would be right when we get up at 11 pm, we ended up getting the cake close to 1 am because our bottle service girl could not locate the cake. When we first got upstairs they didn’t even know where to place us even tho the reservation had been made in advance. They places us at 2 spots then had to move us again and had almost 20 of us just standing around as they tried to get prepared, then ended up sticking in the back of the lounge where maybe 8 people total would be able to sit and at this point we were almost 30 people. What an awful experience and place. Do not recommend.

Second time here, and it continues to be an amazing experience. Killer cocktails, the presentation of The Georgian is spectacular, if you're an Old Fashion fan you gotta try this! Only dove into the appetizer menu, way too many things to try and just order to the first three items on that part of the menu...the Wagyu Skirt Steak...phenomenally fat and tender! The Fried Squid was like no other I've ever had, not greasy and slimy and the lettuce wraps with oyster mushrooms with an assortment of interesting condiments was superb! My hunch is there isn't a bad dish on the menu....looking forward to the next experience here!
First time at this restaurant. Food was amazing. Waiter Sullivan was courteous and helpful with food details and preferences. Their varied cocktail list was quite unique. Pricing was a bit high however well worth it after we ate. Would definitely recommend.
I booked a reservation a week in advance for our 10 year anniversary. Upon being seated they told us they had zero ingredients to make main items on the menu due to delivery issues. Aka no Entrées for dinner. I couldn't believe a restaurant couldn't go buy emergency ingredients themselves or make a new temporary entrée menu for that evening. You don't just give up and hope the costumers only buy drinks and appetizers. We got up and left. Absolutely embarrassing.
From the moment we walked tonight, we had a good time. The atmosphere is nicely decorated. Modern chic. But the food was absolutely delicious. On the more expensive side but the portions and quality were quite good. I would recommend for friends nights out.
The drinks were all well blended and balanced and beautifully garnished. The food was mostly excellent, except the following minor issues: my friend’s steak came overdone, and my pasta was over-salted. One of my friends had the Caesar salad and the smashed potatoes and both those dishes were absolutely outstanding and I would come back just for them!
