Second Cup Café

My kid loves the hot chocolate. He is not too fan for overly sweet drinks, so I was pleasantly happy when he enjoyed his hot chocolate here. Everytime I come to Bayshore, my son wants the hot chocolate. And I get the Oatmilk Mocha Cold Brew!!

The baristas are excellent, and pay attention to small details!!

No Mango Boost 30min before closing..

The owner needs to find a new job because he’s the rudest man I have ever seen. I am literally there so often and I dread the times he’s there. The two other girls are super nice and I have absolutely no problem with them. My issue is with the owner who is rude to everyone for absolutely no reason.

The owner of this place is a bitter and rude man. He makes business because the name of the franchise his service is atrocious. I give a 0/0. If I was Second Cup I would take away the right to the franchise from this man. He’s despicable.

I ordered a matcha with oat milk, and while observing how it was prepared, I noticed the cup was filled with a significant amount of ice, but only a small amount of oat milk — not even halfway. After the matcha mixture was added, the cup still appeared underfilled. Instead of topping it off with more oat milk, the barista added more ice, likely to make it appear full. - 1

The owner takes the tips. I asked the owner and he said 50% of the tip is mine as my business is costly. For this reason, I did not tip.

Brutal customer service

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve been a regular customer at this Second Cup, always buying coffee while I sit and work. But today was an awful experience. I had just sat down with my employee—barely five minutes in—when the owner came over, nodding his head in disapproval and rudely telling me I couldn’t sit there without buying coffee first.

I understand it’s a business, and I always make a purchase, but the way he handled it was completely unprofessional and embarrassing in front of other customers. A simple, polite reminder would have been enough, but instead, I was made to feel unwelcome. After checking the Google reviews, I see I’m not the only one—this owner has a reputation for being rude and disrespectful.

Terrible customer service. Avoid this place if you expect even basic decency.
