I ordered a matcha with oat milk, and while observing how it was prepared, I noticed the cup was filled with a significant amount of ice, but only a small amount of oat milk — not even halfway. After the matcha mixture was added, the cup still appeared underfilled. Instead of topping it off with more oat milk, the barista added more ice, likely to make it appear full. - 1

The owner takes the tips. I asked the owner and he said 50% of the tip is mine as my business is costly. For this reason, I did not tip.

Brutal customer service

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve been a regular customer at this Second Cup, always buying coffee while I sit and work. But today was an awful experience. I had just sat down with my employee—barely five minutes in—when the owner came over, nodding his head in disapproval and rudely telling me I couldn’t sit there without buying coffee first.

I understand it’s a business, and I always make a purchase, but the way he handled it was completely unprofessional and embarrassing in front of other customers. A simple, polite reminder would have been enough, but instead, I was made to feel unwelcome. After checking the Google reviews, I see I’m not the only one—this owner has a reputation for being rude and disrespectful.

Terrible customer service. Avoid this place if you expect even basic decency.

Terrible coffee. Stingy, rude owner. Ordered an iced coffee, he put like 3 ice cubes in it, when I asked for more ice he said we charge extra for it 😂
Mind you, I had already paid $18 bucks for the drinks and now he's willing to charge me more for ice 🤦🏻‍♂️ stingy owners please learn customer service.

The lady who served was super rude. She wasn’t very happy to help me not sure why. She was looking at me with a very angry face. I saw the same lady serving a customer very happily. I am brown and that customer she served was white! I don’t wanna say she was a racist, but your staff made me feel guilty for nothing!!
