Delish! Curry not to spicy. Loved the naan. Friendly service. Happily explained menu to us Indian food newbies.

Tried a beef and chicken tikka wrap and both were fantastic. Lots of chicken/beef on the naan with veggies and served with a sweet donair style sauce.

The spicy aroma brought me in from the street 😉 Excellent curry chicken dinner plate was just spicy
enough 😋 Tikka plate was also very good ☺️ Home-made Naan bread was hot and tasty. Friendly owner served us without delay. Enjoyed our touch of curry very much! Definitely recommend this restaurant 👌

Delicious food, I wasn’t even hungry I was just shopping at byward market and the amazing smell as I walked by was too good to ignore so I had to take a look at their menu and after talking to Shahab he helped me pick a nice meal and was easily one of the nicest people I’ve ever met at byward market. Highly recommend the food and the service is top tier

Good food and friendly service. Not fancy but a good place for Indian food in the byward market. Only take visa and debit and cash

Fantastic place and a must try if you're visiting the area. Their Chiken Tikka wrap is their signature dish, and it shows. It is very flavorful, and the naan bread is made on the spot. Shafali Bazaar is a longtime family business that deserves its spot in one of ottawa's most iconic locations.

Phenomenal food.
We’ve been going here for decades. It never gets old. The chicken tikka wrap is amazing. Its reputation is well deserved.
We recently had the chicken curry plate and the lamb curry plate with Naan. It was so good, so tender and flavourful.
Its cosy and warm and smells awesome. Love going here.

Went yesterday on a Saturday and experience was really awful. It’s not an Indian restaurant but a Bangladeshi restaurant. Photos of ambience are all fake which are displayed on google. Had Chicken tikka wrap and the bread was not even close to naan bread. Chicken samosa was tasteless and dry. To sum up, the food here is not even close to Indian cuisine to be very honest.

An absolute must if your in the area. We walked in to the market and the smell from here was out of this world. We had such a warm welcome and that was before we opened our English mouths. Such friendly owners here and the food is so so fresh. Fantastic lamb
curry and fresh made nan bread. Such a following here as many regulars it seems. Thank you so so much for your very warm hospitality and your lovely food. We will look in again on our next trip to Ottawa. Will the next trip was sooner than we thought. Next day back again before our trip home to the UK. This time the beef curry, samosa and chicken tiki salad. Fantastic, brilliant.
