Just eat shawarma & poutine

If I go to pizza lovers on the otherside of the subway, I get a large Shawarma for the price of Al Basha's small. Additionally their food gave me food poisoning, yeah. thanks guys.

We really enjoyed our first try of the shawarma from this place! Very friendly staff, clean and tidy location, generous portions, and great taste, with good value for what we paid! I love the garlic potatoes, they are tossed in actually garlic and herbs that just taste so fresh and fragrant. The sauce is nice and thick. The spicy garlic sauce is a nice touch too, not too spicy and adds a new flavor to the potatoes and sandwich. We were pleasantly surprised and will be back for sure :)

Super kind staff and delicious shawarma

Pleasant costumer service with the guy working there, amazing food, authentic shawarma taste, the rice, the chicken and the depth of the flavour surpasses any chain shawarma place. It felt like a meal from the Mediterranean. Didn’t wait very long for my meal then brought it home and devoured.

It’s cheap but the service is super super slow. We waited 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches to be made when they were the only orders being made. He had to remake mine because he forgot it in the heater and burnt it and remade it wrong. There’s so many better Shawarma places and food places around here.

A fun little joint I stepped into on a whim- owner is a very nice, quiet guy, happy to be helpful. Got a beef poutine, and while the beef was kind of just laid on top of the poutine in long strips, I can't deny it was delicious. Crispy fries, flavourful gravy, and very generous with the curds. The beef lent it a tiny bit of peppery heat- not spicy by any means, just some nice depth. A damn good poutine all told, and even the small is a big enough portion that I couldn't eat it all in one go.

When I went, the place was empty, and Star Trek: TNG was playing on a screen by the counter. Instantly charming little hole in the hole type of place. Will be back for sure.

Refuse to believe these egregiously positive reviews. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that most restaurants in this little strip on Laurier manipulate their stars with paid reviews. This place is awful. The burger place, which is highly rated just down the way is also very, very bad. Suspicious number of 5 stars IMHO, you will be disappointed

The highest quality of poutine I have ever had! As a Canadian, we value our signature poutines and will definitely return for the richest poutine in the city. Owner was extremely welcoming and offered me 50% OFF for my first time. Thanks!
