The food was good. However, I didn’t give it 5 stars simply because it was overpriced for the amount of lamb and chicken on the plate. also, the chicken was somewhat dry and not of great quality. Still, it’s not a bad spot overall, and I might consider trying it again.

The rice was horrible, not freshly cooked, and it smells bad not sure what kind of spices was in it, smells like its cooked a couple days ago and it was so cold We used to order from your business a year ago but lately it’s been getting worse.

Lamb mandi from Sheikh Al Mandi is one of the best meals you can ever eat in Ottawa. The lamb is so tender that it falls off the bone, and the rice is cooked with an exquisite combination of spices that renders the whole dish mouth watering and rich in flavors.
I always did take-out or delivery, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated with traditional furniture and artifacts that create a wonderful oriental atmosphere.
The service is friendly and relatively fast, but I suggest you double check your order every time. They're often busy so mistakes are bound to happen, and I experienced it twice so far ... the first time they had taken down the wrong order, so when I arrived I had to wait much longer ... and the second time it was Uber Eats, and they sent me the wrong drinks.
Anyway ... the food is amazing so it's definitely worth adding it to your list.

Personally, Sheikh Al-Mandi is not the best. I have tried all kinds of restaurants with all due respect, but this is ridiculous. There are many restaurants that changed the quality, quantity and price, except for Sheikh Al-Mandi. Best barbecue restaurant, excellent. Sheikh Elmaindi is the best barbecue restaurant in Ottawa, he wrote a review that said all this was the top. The quantity and quality are the highest.
Prices are very reasonable! And the food is one-of-a-kind! It’s hard to find good halal places like this! Highly recommend to try this place out! It’s great for birthdays too ;)

I ordered from Sheikh Almandi today, and it was absolutely incredible! The food was bursting with flavor—so authentic and fresh. The portions were generous, and everything was perfectly cooked. The service was equally outstanding—friendly, prompt, and very professional. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. Definitely one of the best spots in Ottawa for Mandi and bbqs. I’ll be ordering again soon. Highly recommend!
