Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food

Very pleasant and helpful staff. She taught us all about the health benefits of saffron and sumac. Portions were generous. Very enjoyable for a first time ladies luncheon experience.

My partner (who is Iranian) and I have tried every Iranian and Middle Eastern restaurant in Ottawa — and without a doubt, Silk Road is our number one choice. The food is absolutely delicious and prepared with care. From the Torch Kebab to the Tandoori Chicken, the stews, the zeytoon parvardeh olives, the Halim Badimjoon — just to name a few — every meal is a true feast. The quality-to-price ratio is outstanding. We’re loyal customers and always look forward to our next visit. Long live this gem of a restaurant — we encourage you to support it too!

Bottom line: If you are in thx mood for some authentic Iranian cuisine, this is it. Cozy, friendly, yummy.

Silk Road Restaurant in Ottawa exceeded all expectations! The service was impeccable, and the complimentary fresh-baked bread was a delightful touch. Every detail of our dining experience was handled with care, making it a truly memorable lunch with friends. Highly recommend for anyone seeking amazing Persian food and warm hospitality in the area.

I have eaten here for years and thoroughly enjoy the unique menu items and amazing seasonings. My favourite item is Mantu, but everything is so delicious and tasty (except for the doogh--which I don't like anywhere) and the price is quite reasonable for the portions and quality of everything. I'll keep coming back and recommend it to anyone!

Parking: It's located in an expansive mall and parking is quite accessible and free at all times.

Kid-friendliness: Plenty of families eating here whenever I come with happy kids in high chairs, booster seats and even teens dining together enjoying the food and atmosphere.

Wheelchair accessibility: The doors are wide and the entrance quite flat except for the exterior threshold, but no automatic door openers. The seating style makes it easy to accommodate many ability levels and the bathrooms are okay, but not great due to their compact size.

We ordered through skip. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was fast. The portions were really big. We recommend editing the menu for clarity on skip on what is and is not included. We overordered rice because the menu seemed that the food does not come with rice. We had lamb shank and kubideh

I’ve been to many Persian restaurants across Canada and by far the most expensive Ghorme sabzi I ever had was in here. For $27 I expected the food to be magnificent but if felt like leftovers. I hope they reconsider their menu prices as we want to go back and support our community.

What a phenomenal experience! The service is so exceptional, all the staff are very friendly and make you feel part of the family, they are also very attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the halim bademjan and the Torsh Kabob is to die for!! To top it all off, the saffron ice cream is a must try! We will definitely be back for more!
