Sona the Indian Kitchen

The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved the egg rolls they surprised us with when we got home (thank you 😊). The free egg rolls may have been due to some miscommunication on pick up time when we ordered online, we even waited an additional 15 mins after arriving, but that did not take away from how incredibly flavorful the food was! We came wait to eat there again!!

Food was really good and served such a nice way. They even were proactive and asked if we had any allergies. Service was really nice. Before leaving we were talking about how we must come back. Decorations are very nice and pretty in the place too

This is probably one of the few north Indian restaurants in Ottawa which excels in all areas - food, decor and service. The restaurant is spacious, well decorated and lit. The service has been top notch. The food has a great balance of flavours and the portions are good too.

As an Indian I know it’s not easy to get the spices and favours right every time. We’ve dined and ordered take out several times and the taste has been surprisingly consistent.

If you like or would like to experiment with Indian cuisine and want to be sure the food is not too spicy 🌶️, yet has well balanced aromatic Indian flavours, this place is for you.

I have a yogurt allergy and was able to get guidance and tailored suggestions as to what menu items would be best suited for me.
The food was delicious, the rice was so fluffy, the portions of food are generous, I was so full but wanted to keep eating since I was enjoying immensely.
I had the lamb madras and the chef appetizer plate.
I’m looking forward to going back and sampling all of the other dishes that were suggested.
