I stopped by the South St. Burger location in downtown Ottawa and had a really good experience. The food was made fresh right away and came out hot, which I really appreciated. A staff member named Didarul was working there, and his customer service was excellent very kind, respectful, and welcoming. His friendly attitude honestly made the visit better. I enjoyed both the food and the service and would definitely come back again.

Terrible food safety — got food poisoning from an undercooked, spoiled burger.
I had lunch here today and ordered a mushroom burger. It was served stone cold — both the patty and the bun. Worse, the meat patty was clearly not fresh and likely undercooked. Within hours, I started having severe diarrhea and stomach cramps.
I ate in-house (not takeout), so the food came straight from the kitchen like this. Very disappointed and concerned about hygiene standards. Not only was the meal unpleasant, it made me physically ill. Would not recommend — your health isn’t worth the risk.

🛑🚨Do not order from this place They do not give a care about you. Ordered on uber eats and the food was packaged on top of cold drinks. Fries were so cold you couldn't not eat them. They were completely hard. Burgers were also completely inedible.
Thing is uber will not refund for cold food and the restaurant answers their phone to hang up. That means they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU...

Worker was in the back and we waited about 10 minutes just to order. He then out the burgers on and left them on one side on the grill until they were burnt to a crisp while he hid in the back again. 30$ for two burgers they should be at least not burnt. Bad worker bad service. No employee should be hiding in the back while customers are out-front at 1pm on a saturday.

I ordered a burger through Uber Eats and it was a terrible experience. It took over an hour and a half to arrive, and when it finally did, it was completely cold. I had selected 6 toppings but only received 3, and they replaced the onion rings I ordered with fries without informing me.
The worst part? The burger patty was completely undercooked—practically raw in the middle (I have photos to prove it). This isn’t just unacceptable—it’s dangerous. In Ontario, serving ground beef that hasn’t been fully cooked to at least 71°C (160°F) is a violation of the Ontario Food Premises Regulation (O. Reg. 493/17, section 33).
I didn’t ask for a rare burger, and this kind of negligence poses a serious health risk. I definitely won’t be ordering from here again and probably I should report this to the public health authorities. .
