I love this place, my friends and I come every time we visit Ottawa. Itâs a little old but I think that just gives it charm! The people here are awesome!
Itâs all right for quick breakfast service is fast. The place is not the cleanest. My menu was stuck to the table as the table was sticky. Potatoes could use more seasoning.

First time trying Stanâs diner. In one sentence it was very mid. Nothing crazy just average. The prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. The potatoâs were soft inside and crispy on outside. Seasoned salt/paprika would go such a long way however - there was no seasoning on them. The bologna was great. Eggs were real eggs and not premix type style eggs. Sausage was average. The bacon however was horrible. Not a fan at all. The toast was average. Service was great. Not a lot of money has been put into up-keeping decor and cleanliness did not seem top of mind. Just donât look too closely really. The washroom was a âmanâ s kind of washroom - does the trick but just donât look too hard. Stanâs does ok in a pinch and for whatâs around itâs the best option. But in all of Ottawa this is not at the top of list by far.

Got delivery. Wayyyyy better fish n chips than Halibut House in Blackburn Hamlet. The chips remind me of British chips and were soooo good. Would've liked to have some coleslaw on the side though.
