This Starbucks on York Street is easily one of my favorite spots to grab a coffee in downtown Ottawa. Not only is the location super convenient, but the space itself is also a total win. The interior is surprisingly spacious, which makes it a great place to relax, catch up on work, or chat with friends without feeling cramped.
The seating area is chic and modern, with a mix of cozy chairs and communal tables that suit every vibe — whether you’re settling in with a laptop or just people-watching with a latte in hand. It feels thoughtfully designed and has that clean, calm aesthetic that makes you want to linger.
Another small but appreciated touch: the self-serve cream and milk station is well-stocked, super tidy, and easy to navigate. It makes customizing your drink quick and convenient, which is a huge plus during busy hours.

I recently visited Starbucks and had an unfortunate experience with one of the servers. I ordered tea and then requested the washroom key, as it’s often required in this location. The server informed me that someone was using the washroom, but after waiting a while, I checked and found it was actually empty. It felt dishonest and unnecessary to mislead a customer in this way. I expected a more transparent response, especially from Starbucks, known for its customer service. I hope the management addresses this so customers feel comfortable and respected during their visits

My wife and I we went for a walk trip from Gatineau to Ottawa, and we decided to stop by at Starbucks on 67 York. We ordered two Macha latte and one is normal and other no sugar. When a lady called my name to pick up our order. I asked her if this one had sugar or not. Lady replied that everything was written on the cup label. The cup label was covered with the sleeve.. Very strange answer from the person who just made your drink. Moreover, I need to wear glasses to see what is written on the table. I think Startbucks needs to pay more attention to stuff training in accessibility service.

Starbucks seriously? I need to buy first something to use your washroom ?? You staff told me to buy first then I can have a key to washing my hands , crazy - dislike ? Better choose some other coffee shop.

It's starbucks, what's not to like? It's actually one of the better starbucks I've been to, it's always clean, there are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your coffee or work for a bit. The staff is always fast and friendly. I like the set up, too. The counter is far away enough from the doors/table that even in a rush, it doesn't feel crowded, loud or congested.
