I had a breakfast sandwich with egg whites and turkey bacon in September 2025. Two and a half hours later I was projectile vomiting at work. I was extremely sick for 3 weeks and after I recovered I returned to Starbucks to share what had happened to me with the manager and all she said was that she was sorry I was sick. There was no ownership, compensation or compassion. I used to go to this Starbucks on a daily basis but not anymore. I’ve been going to that location for the last 7 years everyday. Loved the staff and now I don’t recognize anyone anymore and often mess up my orders. So sad for that was my favourite go to for I love the coffee..

Had a horrible experience, I always go in and order online from this location and I always get the pink drink and instead of complaining or having them remake the drink I always ask for a small amount of coconut milk on the side and this has never been a problem in the year and a half that I have went there . Today I ordered from uber eats and I called like normally due to ask if they can do this and I ve never had a problem before I got a barista who didn’t really understand or know what I was asking so I asked to speak to the manager and I got switched to a girl named lovely and she was rude and said this is something they do not and cannot due and have never done at this location lol that’s funny because most of the staff knows me very well and usually if I order it and pick it up already have the little cup ready with my drink . Must be new managment and trying to prove something but I will definitely be ordering from somewhere else from now on !

I didn’t eat anything there but I am gonna give them 1 star Because they are forcing people to buy something to use the washroom and this is not a nice behavior at all. I definitely don’t recommend the worst starbucks business I’ve ever seen in Ottawa.

I ordered my morning coffee online and I was in rush to be at work at 8 (working right across the street from Starbucks) and when I got to the store, it was not ready and I couldn’t wait. Told them that I’m leaving and will pick up another time. I was at work when Jeremy brought my coffee. Such a nice surprise. Thank you Jeremy

Love this place. I don’t know if it’s just because Westboro is such a nice neighborhood, but I always feel like it’s a nicer store. More homey, like people know each other here. Love the staff!

I am a long-standing customer of Starbucks. I love their coffee, though their food sucks.

I had a recent experience that has made me decide to no longer go to Starbucks. I was in the area with my child, and she expressed an urgent desire to use the washroom. I decided to go into my local Starbucks and ask for the washroom code. I know the policy was to give the code to paying customers only, but I have asked for the code on previous occasions without buying anything, and it was happily given. Again, I am a longstanding customer.

I also thought it would be a non-issue because I was with a child in distress, and one look at us would tell you we would treat the facilities with respect.

However, the barista applied the policy to the letter and refused me access despite my pleading and my child crying. It was a humiliating and vulnerable experience. One that has ruined my love of Starbucks.

Honestly, I have been on the fence for a while. This is primarily because Starbucks is an American owned company, and it is hard to support them right now when the American government is bullying and insulting our beautiful country.

Yet, I made excuses. I love the coffee. Starbucks is from Seattle (i.e., not known for Canadian hating). The staff are local. And the experience was nice......at least until recently. The culture there seems to be more cold, corporate, and definitely less community based over the last few months.

From now on, I will frequent one of many other great independent, locally owned CANADIAN coffee shops in the area. The Bower and Equator are a few that pop to mind. Heck, there is even a Tim Hortons close by (yes, I know they are owned by an American company who is itself owned by a Brazilian hedge fund).

This is my local Starbucks and I tend to go there every day - they have the nicest baristas, the manager Shawn is just great and they are consistently polite and friendly. Love being greeted by name when I walk in the door!

Today the person who assisted me did my order wrong and they do not manage pressure when theres many customers. The associates are all over and its crowded. I ordered two cheese danish and two green tea and gave me grilled cheese. Its very frustrating especially that I am in a rush and the associate are busy talking and not overseeing whats going on.
