in previous reviews, i state that i work in the mall. therefore, i go here often to grab drinks to start my shift. my go-to is the matcha latte made with oat milk. keep in mind, i drink oat milk because i have a dairy allergy and oat milk is plant-based and free of dairy. on several occasions it was made with real dairy milk, whether it was whole or 2%, doesn't matter. one sip in each time, it would affect my work and i would have to clock out. i would get very nauseous, and id get stomach hives and chest hives. i stopped going during the day because its too much of a health risk for me. also, it takes 30 minutes to get just one drink usually, even when the floor has more than enough bodies. i usually try not to complain, as i work in fast food customer service and i understand the pressure and rushes. but, when i have to be at work at a certain job because i have bills i got to help with so i cannot be written up, and its a health violation for me, i think it's justifiable for me to complain. the only reason this doesnt reach a one-star, is because the evening staff doesn't seem to be bad at all. they are the polar opposite of the day time staff. they are more efficient and they do not make the mistake with my dairy alternative. started only going there in the evenings.

Very disappointed by the service. It was all good until I got my order as it was made wrong. The mistake of making the wrong order is completely normal and I can look pass that but when they told me they have to throw out the extra drink and asked me if I wanted to take it for free. Before I made any decision another costumer came by and said they want it and took it.. I know this is very harmless but I found it very unprofessional since as I was the customer being served. I think it's more right to let the main first customer to make a decision first...

So tell me why I waited 15 minutes for these mini bagels, asked the girl where they were, she turns around and yells for someone to make them just for her to turn back around and say, “oh nevermind here they are!” So you’re telling me they were sitting there at the counter the entire time?? Wasted half of my break waiting when they were sitting there the whole time!! And no I didn’t just not hear my name because I ordered a VENTI ice water and was given the tiniest cup I’ve ever seen… THEN waited the 15 min for the bagels. Have never had a good experience at this Starbucks and I rarely go. Terrible service and slow staff.

Typically order from mobile at this store. Usually, the drinks are made how they're supposed to, but today didn't seem to be the case. I ordered a brown sugar shaken espresso with an extra shot, expecting it to look a bit darker than it usually is, and looks like its straight up all espresso and water (if I wanted an iced americano I would've asked). I would say I'm surprised, but this isn't the first time this has happened.
Considering the fact that I order from here frequently, I expect it to be the same every time I place my order. This is straight up not caring about what people are paying for.
Very disappointed, you're better off getting Starbucks from a Loblaws now.

Very disappointed in this Starbucks. After years of spending on everything from drinks to food, I was denied my “birthday “ drink!!! Apparently you need proof of prior purchases! Who knew??? Won’t be spending here again! A small thing? Yes! But still very disappointed!!! ☹️

This Starbucks location in the Rideau Centre is consistently impressive. It’s definitely a very busy spot, but you’d barely notice because of how efficiently and professionally the team works. The staff here are some of the hardest working I’ve seen, constantly pumping out drinks while keeping things organized and moving quickly.
Every time I’ve visited, my drinks have been made perfectly—great quality and consistency, even during the busiest rushes. The grab-and-go fridge is always well stocked, which is no small feat considering the foot traffic in this mall.
Pro tip: order ahead on the app if you can! The line inside can be long, but mobile orders are usually ready much faster and it’s the best way to skip the wait.
Is the space spotless? Not really—but that’s to be expected for a Starbucks located in such a high-traffic shopping centre. That said, the team does a great job keeping it as tidy as possible given how busy it gets.
Overall, this location deserves five stars just for how well the staff handle the volume without sacrificing quality. Highly recommend it for a quick caffeine stop when you’re downtown.
