Terrible, speaking as an ex Starbucks barista many years ago. Just terrible service especially the bigger bodied manager or team lead person.
I ordered a mocha frappe drink with peppermint shot, went back and asked nicely if they could add extra peppermint cause it doesn’t taste like there’s a peppermint shot in it I even asked them if I need to pay for extra and the new drink they gave me was full of crashed ice
Staff are friendly but I’m disappointed. They used to offer free water but now you need to buy something. Water should be a human right. And the cups probably cost them pennies while the owner makes thousands if not millions. Corporate greed at its finest.
i waited in line and then asked for a SHORT water with no ice, which would have taken them two seconds, but apparently the policy changed and they don’t give out water for free anymore, regardless of the fact that i ordered a drink at starbucks earlier that day. disgusting treatment like this is why i’m deleting the starbucks app off my phone
I don’t like to write reviews but every aspect of our encounter with this business was surprisingly bad. Our server, Kat, acted annoyed to be taking our order from the get go, was rude verging on hostile throughout for no clear reason, and did not have product knowledge. Then to top it off we were served a grande drink when we paid for a venti. We ended up just leaving with our incorrect order just to get out of there, having overpaid, and decided we just won’t shop at Starbucks anymore. There are plenty of equivalent and better options in Ottawa that don’t seem to have problems vetting their employees…
Long line ups but very efficient. Convenient location.
I would like to respectfully request that the company consider further steps toward sustainability, particularly regarding your cup lids and tea bags.
1. Paper Cup Lids:In Europe, Starbucks has implemented paper cup lids, which is a wonderful and eco-friendly alternative to plastic lids. I would love to see this practice extended to Starbucks Canada locations as well. This would greatly reduce plastic waste and align with the growing consumer demand for more sustainable options.
2. Plastic Tea Bags: I am also concerned about the use of tea bags made from plastic, which contribute to microplastic pollution. These particles are harmful to both the environment and human health. I kindly ask if Starbucks could consider switching to paper tea bags, similar to the ones used by Red Rose, which are both biodegradable and safer for the environment.
Thank you for considering these suggestions. I believe that with small adjustments like these, Starbucks can continue to lead the way in sustainability while maintaining its commitment to quality and customer care.

Drinks always take 20+ minutes. Half the time they are out of something and can't make a drink, the other half of the time it's made wrong anyways

On Wednesday Allia was incredibly rude. To the point where she was rolling her eyes and replying to my request in a rude way. The drink she made me had burnt espresso - she refused when I asked if she could remake the drink. I know for a fact that sometimes the machines they use can burn the espresso if they don't calibrate them properly. If I pay over $8 for a drink I should enjoy drinking it, no? I always come to this Starbucks when I work at this mall and they never get my drink wrong and they are always so kind. Working as a barista is not easy I understand, I work in customer service, but to meet someone with such contempt is never warranted. Especially if the person is being being kind and asking politely. Now after meeting Allia ordering there is going to give me so much anxiety. She is ruining the brand image. I hope no one else has to encounter her.

This place has an INSANE staffing problem. Two employees running the whole store and 30+ people waiting for their orders is unacceptable service. I shouldn't have to wait upwards of thirty minutes for a cup of water and a cookie. They left my water cup on the counter, OPEN, for the entire thirty minutes I waited, and only after they'd served everyone who ordered AFTER me did I get my order. This is a staffing issue that needs to be addressed, as this is ridiculous.

Honestly this place, the people, and the management are all over the place. It is not clean. The barista that spoke to me was tina and she was the only person that seemed to have a good sense of customer service and respect for the customers. haven’t been in about a month and don’t plan on going back.
