Atmosphere is nice and the service was great but I am not too impressed with the food. Steak was like the size of a tiny 4oz burger patty, and average in taste. Came with a tiny amount of veggie (1 ladle of mash potato and 4 little asparagus). For a dish over $30 it wasn't worth it in my opinion.

A rather familiar feeling Restaurant.. if you have been to Browns social house it is basically the same.
The menu is pretty diverse but lacks the heighten punch required to elevate it beyond 4 stars, the service was great, old Fashion couldn't have been better but still left hungry and excited to order a poke bowl from my local spot.. not recommend from here.
May check it out again in the future.
Either thanks for having me
Cheers!

Everything about this place was spot on. My sangria was refreshing, and my food was perfectly presented.
Thank you to the staff, nothing went unnoticed.

Had an excellent dining experience thanks to Zoey/Zoe, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant time for my birthday meal. Thanks so much!

We checked this place out on a Friday for date night and it was great. Pretty packed at 6:30pm so I recommend reservations. We sat at the bar which was beautiful, I had the best cocktail I've ever had.. the Pink State Mint 12/10!!
Apps were tasty, and atmosphere was very nice. Would for sure come back.

We had a party of 11 people for a birthday Saturday night.
The service was bruuuuutal. Our server himself was a nice guy, actually the whole staff was polite and welcoming. We came in, ordered a round of drinks, all was well. It took roughly 30 minutes for someone to come around for refills / other drinks. We got those finally, and ordered apps. Honestly, food was very good. The issue we ran into was the 2 rounds of drinks and app plates were all over the place. Literally no one grabbed anything. There was 2 members off the staff leaning against the bar, facing us and nothing removed. A couple guys went outside, so we piled up the stuff as a "u wanna come get this" the answer was.... no. I had to ask someone to come over and grab stuff to take away, even then it was maybe a quarter of the stuff on the table empty. At one point there was 17 empty glasses sitting there. I understand it's a Saturday night, and was busy, I get it. But this was ridiculous, again, 2 ppl just standing there doing nothing. Also, on a few occasions one of the male servers was behind the bar, picking his nose. I'm not even kidding.... Finally, the mains are coming out and the realization that there isn't room on the table kicked in, and most of the stuff was finally taken away. Not all, still a bunch of empty glasses. The mains, again, tasted really good. Was impressed on how good all the food was. That's when another issue came up. Someone taking a bite of a fry and the dill dip (which was delicious) stopped cause they felt something weird. She pulls out PART OF A FINGER NAIL. Absolutely disgusting. We call over the server, we tell him what happened. He's says, "oh" gets a napkin and takes it away. As you can imagine, everyone was done at that point eating the food. So now we are sitting around for a good, 20 minutes and server brings over the bills. The person who had someone's finger nail in there mouth was upset that they received a bill and didn't believe they should pay. The server said ok, hold on, started getting others to pay, (weird) but then came back around and asked, ok, so what exactly was the problem again. There was a finger nail in my food. During this entire time the manager didn't come by and attend to this matter, so we asked for one to come over to chat. The manager did come by, and the situation was explained again, her response was the way it should have been from the get go, that's disgusting and I'm very sorry about that, don't worry bout the bill today. She also mentioned that she wasnt made aware of the incident until right then. Which is pretty wild on its own, but what can you do. The convo was appreciated, she was very polite and an easy conversation.
It really is an unfortunate string of events, I don't want to say they tried their best, cause that wasn't what was happening. With all that said, it sucks cause the food was very good but that is pretty much the only positive of the night.

Last night, my family and I visited State & Main, hoping to enjoy a meal reminiscent of our first visit during their opening week. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations, leaving us puzzled about the apparent changes in their kitchen.
We started with the bang bang shrimp, which was flavorful, but the batter needed an extra 2-3 minutes in the fryer for a better texture.
My husband ordered the Baja fish tacos, which were utterly bland and lacked any seasoning. I opted for the spicy tuna poke bowl, which was decent but didn’t impress.
One of my daughters chose the chicken stir fry, which was alarmingly unbalanced—75% broccoli, 20% chicken, and a mere 5% rice. As a kids' dish, it definitely needed better ingredient proportions. My other daughter went for the classic mac and cheese, but it arrived cold and tasted more like powdered cheese than a comforting homemade dish. It was almost inedible. Our server was great and she she got her the grilled cheese instead, which she loved.
What struck me the most was the lack of attention to flavour. It’s hard to believe the Chef isn’t tasting the dishes before they leave the kitchen. Given the prices we paid, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I hope they can return to their earlier standards soon.

I’m finally made it here and can’t believe I waited so long! Everything was delicious and staff were amazing! I have never seen my picky kids eat everything on their plate before!

Spacious and efficient layout - bar in the center, lower seats along the back wall (like "L" side of the bar) and higher seats on the other side of the bar. Server was professional, prompt and on top of things (although i feel she could have dialled down her high voice pitch a couple of notches while keeping her energy). Food was delicious and decent quality.
? Vegetarian burger and flatbread appetizers, and can make certain dish meat free. like the supreme bowl.
PS: The supreme bowl with rice noodles was quite garlicky (but so delicious).

Had dinner the other night with my family only to be disappointed on my meal. I have on numerous times eaten the same meal - the Royal Bangkok which always tasted superb. Rich and peanuty flavour. However, on this occasion my meal (I think) was prepared differently and for the first time had a unique/different taste. Asked the server to have the spiciness at "medium" only to be told meal comes pre-spiced which was a first. When my meal arrives, sauce looked orange in colour and sauce tasted like Franks Red Hot Sauce mixed with veggies/shrimp etc. I am not a big fan on Franks Red Hot Sauce. This was the first time it tasted like this. Very disappointed. On the bright side, not all was lost. House beer, the Blonde Lager was cold and refreshing. Hate to say this, may have to rethink about returning.

We enjoyed our meal - we started with the Mac and Cheese, Pretzel Bites with Beer Cheese Dip and the Calamari. For our mains we got the Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Veggies, and the Grilled Cheese Burger. Would definitely recommend the Beer Cheese Dip!

I agree with people who rated service poorly. So far I have never gave any negative review but I think we should be honest, which I hope would help to improve the level of service.
We visited this place for lunch on the Truth and Reconciliation Day at around 1:30pm.
The place was almost empty, just a few tables were occupied. We were surprised when we were first told that it would take 10 minutes to clean one table for two of us. It took long to serve the food, and the burger came not hot, but just a room temperature. It took long to serve the wine, which came finally when I finished my meal. I was stunned to hear that “we are so busy”…., where the place was almost empty. The food wasn’t bad, but just because of the level of service I will not return. I would have understood if it was busy indeed, but unfortunately……

I wish I could give a better review as I love state and main but this location was not a good experience. Our food took long and our waitress checked in towards the end of our meal and there was zero follow up or apology.
What really disappointed was that I made the reservation under a birthday occasion and there was zero effort, care or curiosity from neither the hosts nor our server. Not sure what the point of asking during reservations is if you’re not going to accommodate in any sort of way.
Food and drinks were good as always but service needs a lot of fine tuning.
