I love The Strand whether it's for dinner, breakfast or a snack, such as an ice cream cone. Their shawarma's are great and their meals, particularly their family platters, are very good value for the money. A good place to try if you haven't already.
This shawarma place used to be located next door in Cedars Food Market. Locating itself in the former Tim Hortons location has allowed the owners to better serve their loyal patrons. I find their shawarma platters to be tasty, plentiful and very good value. They also have a breakfast special ($11.99 with coffee) which we hope to try soon.
Kid-friendliness: A group of daycare children came in to get ice cream cups. The booth was big enough for 5 or 6 children and one adult. Choice if flavors and the size of the cups were appropriate for everyone.
