My family enjoyed a take-out meal last night from Sula Wok. I would describe it as incredibly tasty, evocative flavours, large portion sizes and generally a fantastic gastronomical delight! The chicken samosas were the best I have had anywhere in Ottawa, in short - awesome. The mango-ginger sauce for the samosas was also exceptional. My entrèe was the Tibetan Fried noodles with tofu. The portion was generous and carefully prepared. The spices were delightful, the vegetables were fresh, plentiful and throughout the meal rather than just placed on top. Every bite was delicious. Thank you Sula Wok for the best take-out meal I have enjoyed in years! I highly recommend this restaurant. It definitely deserves a five star rating.
The menu is expansive with vegan options clearly laid out. They have rice bowls, noodle bowls, dumplings, salads, and tacos. The meals are all thoughtfully curated, with plenty of vegetables and protein. The flavours are punchy and range from Thai, to Chinese, to Tibetan, and maybe even some Indian influences. It's a great spot - you'll want to go back and try everything on the menu!
I’ll admit it: I was skeptical. Ordering on Skip with barely any ingredient details (just a lone “(vegan)” to reassure me) felt like a gamble. But I’m a sucker for vegan dumplings, an endangered species in the culinary wild, so I took the plunge. No regrets! These dumplings were perfectly seasoned, and so good. The filling was tender, the wrapper had just the right chew, and the dipping sauce? Chef’s kiss. Finding vegan dumplings this good is rare, magical, and worth chasing. I discovered Sula Wok when visiting family at the Hospital on Smyth, because it becomes Main street it is easy to pop over for some self care. Delicious food, Vegetarian options, friendly faces and cool details like wooden bowls and tables. I went 4 times in a week and will go back!
Vegetarian options: Many Veggie dumplings options, Potato masala so good! and soups and salads.
Parking: Every time I found a spot on Main street within a block.
Wheelchair accessibility: The seating is all outside, as sidewalk level.

This spot is amazing! The family that owns and operates it are so kind and wholesome. The variety and options to choose from are great. We tried the dumpling soup which had a lovely sesame flavored broth. The panang curry was super flavorful as well as the cucumber salad. Everything was fresh and colorful. Highly recommend!

Was hardly any chicken just rice and a rather bland sauce. I did expect better when I saw the reviews. I also ordered noodles not rice. One broccoli floret. Disappointing
Absolutely loved this place! It's a walk-up counter spot with amazing service. You can hear the owner really connecting with patrons, which adds to the welcoming vibe. For a moment, it didn’t feel like we were in Ottawa – the vibe was that great. The flavors were incredible, everything was fresh, and the attention to detail really showed. To top it off, we had gelato for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Can't wait to return and try more from the menu!

Love this family owned and operated gem! Their food is consistently delicious and fresh. The oldest son was very helpful in suggestions to help me choose a new item to try. He was polite and courteous and answered all my questions and helped me find a new item to add to my list of favs from the menu!
