Best happy hour in the city ... daily, 5-7pm! Enjoy delicious half price small plates and drink specials. Calamari, dumplings, tacos were all excellent. Really the best tacos around, and I've tried many places. Even the broccolini was spectacular! The chef here hits it out of the park. Can't recommend this place enough. The quality in food was varied, the wagyu dumplings and sweet potato fries were mouthwatering, but the tortellini pasta and steak frites were a bit bland. The servers were attentive and quick, but the sound acoustics were not that great - I couldn’t even hear the person right next to me. The interior & lighting was very cozy.

I accidentally found somewhere dine bar while returning to my car on 10/07. It looked very interesting so I decided to book for 10/08. I am very happy for how everything turned out; (venue, decor, vibe etc all very well thought out and executed) Ashley was an exceptional host and the food and drinks were beautifully prepared and equally delicious. I will definitely be visiting again when I will be in Ottawa for work. Thank you to the entire staff; kitchen, bar and front of the house, the evening was excellent!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electrifying, setting the perfect tone for the evening.We started with oysters, which were incredibly fresh and perfectly paired with a glass of 1942 Tequila—an absolute treat that elevated our experience right from the start. The Surf and Turf main course was another highlight, with every bite bursting with flavor and expertly cooked. The evening took an unexpected but delightful turn with a surprise dessert board, which was a masterpiece in its own right—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.What truly made the evening special, though, was the exceptional service. The staff were not only attentive but also impressively knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that hit the mark every time.Overall, "Somewhere Dine Bar" delivered an outstanding dining experience that exceeded our expectations in every way. Booked a reservation and specified that I wanted to be sat inside, I was sat outside - not a big deal, when I mentioned it, they graciously moved me to a table inside. My biggest complaint is the food. The oysters were absolutely destroyed by the shucker, there were bits of shell in them, they were warm, and overall did not taste very fresh. The steak tartare also left much to be desired. Overall it wasn’t awful, but not awful isn’t exactly what I’m looking for in a restaurant.
