I really wanted to love this spot, but for the price point, the experience didn't quite hit the mark. The Good: The shop is spotlessly clean and has a really pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. If you’re looking for a nice environment, they’ve nailed that aspect. The Not-So-Good: Food Quality: I’d rate the sushi a 3/5. The nori was noticeably chewy, as were several pieces of fish, which is a letdown when you're paying a premium. Service: We experienced a long wait time. With only 7 tables in the restaurant, the pace felt disproportionately slow. Value: This was the biggest sticking point. It’s a pricey menu, and while the location is good, the quality and portions don't justify the bill. A prime location shouldn't be an excuse for underwhelming food. Verdict: It's a nice space, but I don't think the quality is worth the expense. I likely won't be returning unless the food quality steps up to match the price tag.

Sushi Fresh sure does justice to its name, the sushi is as fresh as it gets. We go here every time we come to Ottawa and it competes with some of the best we’ve had in Canada. Scallop nigiri and the miso soup were top notch btw! 🤍
I had a wonderful lunch here last week! Everything was fresh and delicious, the service was friendly, and they had a separate gluten free menu for me (with celiac disease) to order from with peace of mind. 10/10 would recommend and will be back!

My adult son and I had just arrived from Vancouver and were both craving sushi, so we asked around—and that’s how we found Sushi Fresh. WOW. This has to be some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten.
The shrimp tempura honestly felt like it came from a higher dimension—light, crisp, and perfectly balanced. The fish was just as incredible: fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared. Every bite felt intentional and joyful.
We loved this place and will definitely be back. If you’re in Ottawa and want sushi that truly delivers, don’t miss Sushi Fresh. 🍣✨
