We've ordered here a few times, and we've had issues both times.A few months ago, they processed or order and it said it was being delivered. Half an hour later it still wasn't. We called and someone messed up - it was still sitting at the restaurant. They had to remake the order.Tonight we ordered the Family Feast and they forgot to deliver an entire side. We tried calling 5 times and no one picks up, so we need to settle with a missed part of our order.This might be our last delivery order.

We think of Swiss Chalet as a restaurant for old folks; we didn't realize they were young when they got there. Waited over an hour for the order to arrive, which wasn't the poor server's fault. The kitchen was slammed with orders, and they didn't tell her how many take out orders were ahead of us until we'd been there a good 40 minutes. We saw two six-person groups give up and leave while we were waiting.I had the smallest chicken piece I've ever seen.Clean place,

Service at this location is absolutely abysmal. Can’t place an order for delivery, can’t place an order for pick up, no one answers the restaurant phone, if you try to order from the Swiss Chalet headquarters phone number they just tell you the restaurant is currently closed and they don’t have any more information. So we ended up driving to the restaurant to ask someone directly about this, then waited 40 minutes for a “supervisor” who also knew nothing. We called the restaurant’s own individual phone number EIGHT TIMES while standing right there and they never picked up, there wasn’t even a phone ringing in the restaurant, and they “didn’t know” why no one was answering. What? So it’s essentially impossible to get anything from this restaurant and no one at the restaurant knows why.

I like Swiss Chalet. The food was good, the restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect from a family dining experience. They were busy and short staffed. I was willing to give a lot of grace for the lack of attentiveness, and at no point was I expecting constant check ins.That said, our waitress specifically seemed determined to ignore us after our initial order. We wanted to add another (non-alcoholic) drink to our order and tried to do so when she brought us our drinks. She literally sprinted away mid way through the request and I had to ask her to come back. When we wanted the bill I tried to politely flag her down. Eye contact, a slight wave, an excuse me eventually. Nothing worked. After 25 minutes of trying to get her attention I saw another waitress nearby. No issue getting her attention at all. She went and told our waitress to get us the bill. Our waitress was weirdly passive aggressive as she finally brought us the cheque.I'm not sure why she wouldn't give us the time of day. We (obviously) were watching her and she checked in regularly with the rest of her tables. I'd eat the food from there again, but that waitress was terrible. I'm really dissapointed because it put off an otherwise lovely night out.

Here’s another restaurant that didn’t survive Covid. Slow slow slow. Gave them a 50 minute head start and they still made me wait. I’m outta here…

First time ever ordering Swiss chalet and I must say we were super impressed. We pre-ordered their Thanksgiving feast and went to pick it up and it was ready, fresh and as delicious as fast food can be. A special thanks to the staff for working to make our Thanksgiving easy and great!

Do not place an order here for delivery under any circumstances. We placed an order at 6:30PM and at 8:30 it still hasn’t moved and there has been zero communication from the restaurant. We placed the order well before closing and nothing. Impossibly long wait time for customer service and store ignores calls. They’ve been closed since 8 now and absolutely no courtesy call to us whatsoever. They just took our order and money and never fulfilled without any explanation or contact. Finally got through to customer service by selecting the place new order option and they said they would refund but that was a lie! There is no email confirmation of a refund and nothing back on our card! They also said no credits can be given and to contact the store directly. Kind of hard when they ignore calls and don’t care about their customers? Absolutely ridiculous and unbelievable service. If you are busy and overrun then place a cap on your orders or call right away to cancel it, not just leave customers in a limbo. If I didn’t get through to customer service we would be totally in the dark and just threw money out the window. If you have hungry children at home and plan to order from here for dinner: DON’T. You’ll have to scramble to make other plans because this location does not care about you or fulfilling orders or basic human decency to communicate. They need to make this right or they will be losing many customers for life. For me the wait and busyness is not an issue, but straight up ignoring customers and closing your restaurant without fulfilling their order after hours of waiting with no explanation or resolution is disgusting robbery behaviour. Absolutely disgusted, have zero faith in ordering from them ever again. Nobody has time to deal with something as ridiculous as this. Do not waste your time and money on this scam of a place, if you do they will simply take your money, make you wait indefinitely and never fulfil your order, they’ll never communicate or answer the phone, and they won’t refund. Seriously what kind of business does this? To place an order that never arrives with zero explanation, then close up shop like it’s nothing? To get no refund for the robbery and offer no incentive to earn you back as a customer? No food, no refund, no communication, no credit, nothing to make it right. Will be reporting it to Visa as fraud because it is. If you want to be robbed, place an order here.

Good luck getting the festive festival, app doesn’t work and system down. Restaurants say they are closed already? It’s 5:30 pm. Extremely Disappointed

Avoid at all costs. Ordered a simple double leg and waited more than 40 mins.No reason as of why. Extremely bad services.Most importantly, food tasted bad compared to other locations.I am saving you a trip and time.Never come here.Thanks.

I've ordered take out from this location a few times while travelling to Ottawa for business. The food is always old and dried out like it has been under a hot lamp for too long. I love Swiss Chalet but the experiences from this location have left me frustrated. Today I ordered chicken, mashed potatoes, and carrots/celery. It took 90 minutes for my food to be delivered which is much longer than I wanted to wait. So I wasn't overly thrilled by the long wait time. Then when the food arrived they hadn't given me any utensils even though I specifically checked off the box for utensils. I'm in a hotel and they didn't give utensils for a meal of chicken and mashed potatoes. Beyond that they didn't give me the carrots/celery I paid for but sent a garden salad -- with no fork. So I couldn't eat any of it. I called Swiss Chalet to tell them what had happened and I sort of assumed they would try to fix the problem. Rather than try to fix the problem the employee started blurting out excuses and reasons why it was my fault -- he was actually cutting me off before I finished explaining my issue. The employee went to the manager and came back and told me 'too bad, so sad' eat your mashed potatoes and chicken with your bare hands. I will never be ordering from this location again.

I realize that long weekends are a nightmare in the service industry but if you are going to allow me to order online an hour ahead for a specific pickup time, how can I arrive on time and still be waiting 20 minutes later? It's rotisserie chicken. You're a chicken place. How can you not have rotisserie chicken ready with an hour's advance notice?And we're now hearing that "walk ins have priority. Sorry, that's just how it works". So don't order online folks.Now been waiting 55 minutes on top of the hour in advance of the order

HelloSo at 5pm my family went to Swiss Chalet and it was busier than usual, and there was only one server on the clock, it was almost 6:30pm when our food came to our table.I understand with one server it's intense but it took a very long time for our food to come to us, we all knew what we wanted.She was otherwise super nice and apologetic every time she came to our table.Food is always good THANK YOU for having a smile on your face even though you wanted to shout out for help.Her name was/is JacqueShe definitely deserves?✨✨✨✨✨

We visited your place on August 12.The service was very good. We both ordered the ribs and were very disappointed. To start the baked potato was cold which was replaced with another. The fries were obviously cooked previously and reheated. They were not eaten. There were 5 ribs for each of us. They also were re-heated but we were able to eat them. There was about 2 tablespoons of cold slaw. The buns were heated and were good.Our bill came to $53. The meal was a reat disappointment.Maureen

I've been a huge fan of Swiss Chalet my whole life, this location here is very nice both inside and out. I always get the same thing, quarter chicken dinner with extra fries and extra gravy. It's so good.While I like eating inside, takeout is my favorite - especially the curbside pickup locations. So convenient. Also they switched from plastic containers to cardboard so it's much more environmentally friendly.Prices are also very good.
