It's says it's a bar and grill, but you can't order house made food. Great place for a drink, but if you're expecting good food, then you're better off somewhere else. Karaoke night is great though

I haven't had the food, but it's a one-of-a-kind establishment to be certain. The lovely combination of a queer friendly atmosphere, and a no frills dive bar of the best kind. Nobody is snobby or over the top in that bad way., You just come as you are and all are welcome.

My original post below is now redundant as they resolved the issue. August 2024. went back and had a great time. The idiot must have been let go and the service and atmosphere is second to non. A great place to chill and meet people.
I'm a regular at your bar and went with two friends one who you may know. I went to treat them for a few drinks. One is my girlfriend and actually hadn't had a drink in about a month. The other friend had not had anything to drink. I bought my girlfriend a shot of tequila then later a glass of wine. The other just had a rum and coke. She's a fun girl and was dancing. Your bar tender cut us off. I had a non alcoholic beer as I personally don't drink at all. When I asked why, he said he felt the girls were drunk. I said these girls could have 10 drinks and would barely feel anything. And the only drinks they had was the one. He got rude with me as I tried to explain I could even prove it. I said they could stand on one leg double the time he could and would bet a round of drinks they both could. Ones a pro athlete. He just got ruder with me so we went somewhere else. Just felt it was my obligation as a business man to inform the owner of the loss of drinks as we were pretty well the only clients after 1230 on a Tuesday, but mostly that he lost about a dozen regulars as this type of horrific service will be told by many through word of mouth. Also as a web master my blog with this letter won't help the business much either. Ratings do make a difference. If it was my bar this lad would be gone without notice. I'm not sure your bar can afford loosing this much business because of one not so bright of an employee. If someone is happy and dancing like Jessie the blond who is always dancing when at your bar, your bar tender should not have assumed she was drunk. I've known her for 7 years and have never seen her drunk. Just not used to this type of experience. I'm used to a much higher lever of service I suppose there's a first for everything. We all know the other bartender well and he's amazing but this boy need to get a job with the government or military. No one with a lack of judge of character should be dealing with the public.

Ahhh, Swizzles. It gives you small town gay bar vibes in a good way. Friendly staff, good drinks, even better company. Also has the best karaoke setup in town!

Retro Underground at Swizzles is a must for a goth/industrial party. The staff is friendly and the cocktails are good. We meet a lot of French speakers there during this evening, which is pleasant. What I like is the fact that it attracts people of all ages who come to dance and have a good time.
