These folks are really amazing. I've never been there but I have ordered online a lot many times and the food always hits the spot! I generally get the ginger pork or beef donburi and their ajitama flavoured egg, and they are my absolute comfort meals. It's always fresh, and consistently good. I ask for some extra sauce each time because the first couple of times I ordered it I found it dry, and they always, always indulge. I think this is a bunch of very kind folks running a quality establishment. My only mini cons is that with taxes, even without tips, it comes to 30+ dollars while ordering in, and this becomes quite a pinch on the pocket for a single size meal, especially when you add delivery person's tip on top. However, their quality and taste makes me order it repeatedly despite that. 100% will keep ordering!

Got the Tonkatsu Curry, Koroke, and Yakisoba. Koroke was simple and delicious as one should be. Tonkatsu Curry took me right back to Japan, sauce was just right rice was fluffy pork was nice and crisp with a good balance of fat and meat. Yakisoba was great noodles just right, good mix of toppings little under sauced for me but still delicious. Overall food was an excellent little taste of Japan, definitely one of the better options for Japanese comfort foods

I ordered the tonkatsu pork bento, with an added korokke and egg. I also got a peach ramune on the side as a drink.

The food was delicious, with nice portion sizes, the service was friendly and fast. My only issue, if a minor one, is that this is very much a takeout place - there's no seating. But that does not take away from this easily being some of the best Japanese I've had. Highly recommend.

The food was so tasty! I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, chicken karaage, and jasmine green tea. My friend got the pork katsu curry. All the food was so delicious and exactly what we needed. The lady who greeted us was so friendly and kind too. We will definitely be back and will bring our friends!!

The food was really good! I had ordered the pork katsu curry, and the cutlet was so juicy. Also on order were the marinate eggs and the korokke, both of which were well done.

It's too bad that their hours are so limited and that they don't have any seating. That makes the restaurant a bit inconvenient a trip. However, I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely amazing food!

Was craving Japanese without really knowing what other options existed besides sushi. This was mind blowing. I had tried the Gyoza dumplings, takoyaki reminded me of home on the East coast, Japanese croquettes and chicken teriyaki. Absolutely loved everything. The presentation was very nice! The owner Jenni was a sweetheart making great recommendations for us.

We sat outside and enjoyed our meal at the picnic tables at the back.

I will definitely be coming back for more!

I think this was the most delicious meal I have ever had.
I finished it so quickly and felt satisfied. Everything tasted so flavourful and fresh, I couldn’t get enough!
The ajitsuke egg was delicious and my god I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant.
I will be ordering again!!! ♡( ◡‿◡ )

I had the pleasure of going to Japan in 2024. I have been craving Curry pork katsu for a long time and I am so thankful that I found takedon Ottawa. Jenny was very personable when we walked up. Offering suggestions on what we should order. I knew I had my eyes set on the pork katsu.

The space is very small and is take out only but there are picnic tables around the back. There is paid parking behind the building but if you put the address in the Google maps it does bring you directly to the entrance of the restaurant.

Believe me when I tell you this delicious pork katsu tastes exactly like it did in japan. Jenny mentions that some of the recipes that are on her menu are from her family and date back to her grandmother. She is a very sweet person.

If you have gone to Japan or you plan on going to Japan I strongly suggest you visit this restaurant. You will get the best service ever.

Wow, authentic Japanese food! Taste amazingly good and the owners, wonderful people. I'll comeback many times for sure!

Firstly the lovely people running this business are very professional and extremely kind.

The food was to die for. We had fried chicken, edamame, and two eggs (I forget what they are called. They are marinated in soy sauce) everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The Bento box was super aesthetic as well.

I will definitely be returning.

The food is so tasty. People who works there have a high level of communication, and serve very polite and Kindly. Love this place
