Gyūdon Beef Donburi (牛丼)
Tender & flavourful, thinly sliced beef short rib and sweet onions are gently simmered in a dashi and sake broth, served over a bowl of steaming rice, flavouring each grain with loads of beefy goodness. This Gyūdon (牛丼) or "beef bowl" is a mouth-watering classic Japanese donburi. 薄く切った牛肉とタマネギなどを醤油などで甘辛く煮込み、丼に盛った飯の上に載せた料理です。

I am Japanese and this restaurant is high quality of traditional Japanese home cooking. This is a Japanese restaurant that will please Japanese people living in Ottawa! You can enjoy home-style Japanese cuisine (curry, beef bowl, etc.).

The owner of this restaurant is very nice, and the service is attentive. It has an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs cooking right in front of you, and the hygiene standards are excellent. I’ve eaten here many times, and the flavors are authentic—just the way I like my Japanese food. The menu is diverse, with a great selection of snacks and drinks as well.

Hidden gem in Ottawa! Happy that I found this place. Food are freshly cooked and delicious. Gyudon beef bowl brings me back to Japan. The ginger pork tastes like my Japanese grandma cooked. Parking is a bit tricky. I parked along the building on green valley. Too bad this place doesn’t have dine in.

Vegetarian options: Tofu curry, egg yakisoba
