Thai Express Restaurant Ottawa

Too expensive here.
I paid about $19 for a veggie pad thai trio on a Sunday. $19 DOLLARS FOR A 1 SPRING ROLL, BOTTLE OF POP (which btw, I had to pay $1 more because their fountain was broken).
Pad thai itself? Bland. The size itself, knowing I paid $19 for a trio, doesn't make me happy. This sn't worth the upcharge from a single meal to a combo.
Never coming back here, inflation is an issue already, and there are cheaper, better options than this.

This is one of the most unwelcoming place I have been to and serious requires a bit of training on their behavior. It’s very unwelcoming and unpleasant to go there and ask. If you ask a question about the food they don’t give responses and are continuously just watching shows on phone. I am only talking about a mid aged old chef while the other young chef is still better than him. A sensitivity and behavioural training is very much required. Apart from that food is never cooked properly since he is always in a hurry to close the order and let the person go.

I stood in line for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. Placed my order, it was ready after 2 minutes. Not cooked. So I had to throw it on a pan at home which defeats the purpose of getting takeout! The bean sprouts and chicken were so undercooked.

I normally have no issues but this is ridiculous.

Always a great Thai Express meal @ the Food court in St.Laurent Shopping Mall. Always order the Tofu Pad Thai very tasty, fresh & consistent every time. Fast, friendly & efficient service with a smile.

If I could give zero stars I would. I used to order pad Thai quite frequently. It was so horrible this time I opened it up, took a bite and walked over and kindly addressed the men working. I let him know that it didn’t taste as usual if I could get some more sauce, I wouldn’t mind paying extra for it all the rice noodles stuck together. There was no taste. He told me they did not offer refunds, but I didn’t ask for refund. I asked him to fix the food that I paid for. He denied I left the food with him and thanked him.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the worst experience ever that probably has ruined my taste for Thai express anywhere. I ordered pad see ew (#8) and they served it to me on a paper plate. The food stuck to the paper and it was all over my food. I couldn't eat it at all. This can't be safe to consume. I went back and they refunded me however I cant be the only one who has had this issue? Why are you serving food on plates that peel into the food? I've added photos for evidence. Don't eat here.

Why is this rated so low? This was amazing, I ate my cousin's leftovers, and even cold, I think it was the best, and the last time I had pad Thai was in Barrie, and I'd almost given up on Thai Express, you've redeemed yourself in my eyes, yummy, thanks.

Very unfriendly and unwelcoming service. I bought lunch today and the middle-aged gentleman behind the counter appears to believe he is doing customers a favour by taking their money and serving them. No "thank you", no "you're welcome" when the client thanks him, no eye contact and an impatient, disinterested attitude. I'll also note that wooden spoons really don't work well with large bowls of soup. The one plastic spoon available at the counter had hair on it.

Ordered chicken pad sew for my husband and I for date night. We got food poisoning. I called and told them I was not angry but did not want other customers to experience the same thing. I was hung up on and told it was impossible that their food could make someone sick. I have always loved Thai express but probably will never eat it again unfortunately

No eye contact, as little interaction as possible. Ordered gf fried rice with chicken and got tough dry pieces of chicken, barely any vegetables and altogether wasn’t worth any money. First time at this location. Never had a bad batch or bad customer service at other locations.
