I worked here for about three weeks in August, during this time I was pregnant and given shifts where I was working over 12 hours and not paid a single cent. The owner lied and tried to say he was a manager and stole my wages. I cleaned at least 200 cockroaches so do what you will with that information. And there were nights I was entirely alone running the club upstairs with no bouncer or any form of safety while pregnant as well. My tips and wages still haven’t been paid and I’ve gone to the labour board since and I will be suing. Also not a single employee is smart served here either. Im going to be making a little call to the health department and AGCO this week too with my own experiences as I’m owed about 2k. I’ve given the owner ample time to rectify this and he hasn’t therefore I’m no longer playing nice. This review is going to stay up until things are fixed. I highly suggest supporting the captains boil on hunt club as they don’t take advantage of pregnant women and have different owners. Don’t believe the new management or owner bullshit either it’s an excuse for them not to pay you.

Awesome experience at the Captains Boil. May not be what you are expecting as dinner is served in a plastic bag, but my oh my it is tasty!

Came to the store based on google maps hours where it showed it was open. We called many times with no answer, and no note on the door of open hours.

We got a very bad impression of this restaurant. According to google maps work hours, it showed it open the time we were there (we were a group and we have kids with us)…… the surprise::: it is closed, and no one answer to the phone despite we called too many times but no response - imagine the situation with kids in that street. It was very bad experience for the unexplained closures.

Disappointed, decided to give this place a try however it was an awful experience. To start, there was no one else in the restaurant which should have been our first clue that it was no good, it felt like an episode of kitchen nightmares. We had the lobster and snow crab which had very little meat and it came with half a corn cob and some minute made rice. It tasted like it was cooked in the plastic bag it came in. The sides were terrible… the half corn cob was rubbery and literally inedible. The taste and value of everything was overall just plain disappointing. Our bill was about $120 and ultimately left starving. We ended up going to another restaurant. Plus there was a fly flying around us the entire time. I would have told the server how bad it was but they never asked, likely because they know that it sucks. They only good thing I’ll say is that the server seemed like a nice guy trying their best but ultimately it’s not their fault the food sucks and is overpriced. I’ll never go there again and will recommend to everyone I know to avoid it.

This place has good seafood and my family and I have been before but for some reason this place randomly decides to close or not be open when it's supposed to be and says it is online. Frustrating because there was another group of people outside just as confused. Apparently this happens often.

When we entered the store waitresses told us there is no crab and mussels. And then we tried to place the order and she is like there is no crab , no corns , no mussels and nothing . Come on guys , you were open at 5pm and there is nothing to serve

The worst service I have ever received. Server just kept leaving mid order and not answering basic menu questions. Cook was swearing angrily at the servers where you can clearly hear it from the table. Left before we even got food but the other reviews seem like thats bad quality as well. Avoid at all costs.

Our server Riley was so accommodating and so nice and gave us so many options for us to share. This was our best experience at captains boil so far, will come again just for the amazing service!

Came here for dinner - we were seated at the table for twenty minutes before we left. One of the servers were seated at a different table and having a full on conversation with an other group of customers. They seen us walk in and watched us walked out.

Absolutely terrible service. Such a shame! Other locations were better, this location is a disgrace. We decided to go to Whalesbone instead ?‍♀️

DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION.! I ordered online from this location and I received cold seafood in soggy murky seafood water. Im convinced this was a leftover order because of the temperature and there was no sauce, just seafood in seafood water. I was terrified to eat it. I also ordered a fish and chips and the fish was burnt on the outside but raw batter still on the inside. This happened to me twice.

The liquid from the mix and match fell on the floor and that sauce was suppose to be the captain boil sauce. It was a brown smelly liquid.

I called and spoke to the manager because captain boil isn’t cheap and when we spoke he said he would make it up and provide me with the real captain boil experience but that was a lie. After that conversation no one ever got back to me and I was ignored.

The Captain Boil in Nepean is your go to ! Food is always perfect. Fish and chips nice and golden and seafood mix and match always hot and delicious.

This location needs to be canceled because it’s unacceptable to serve people low quality food with high prices.

When we came in, we weren't greeted, we were just pointed to our table, so we sat and they came with some water. While we were looking at the menu, there was 5 fans, in weird placements blasting air everywhere. It took a long time when it came to ordering because the stuff we wanted which was on the menu, they either we're sold out or they just didn't sell at that location? If it's not being sold at all, then it should be removed from the menu. The food was okay! I had the shrimp, with garlic, but did not taste like garlic at all. Other than that we had the clams, fries and calamari.
The service was a bit weird, someone took our order, then someone came 5-6 minutes later and asked what we wanted to order. Didn't look like they were communicating with each other.
Not once did they come over asking if everything was okay, and the phone was ringing a lot, but never seemed to get picked up.
Cleaning could have been better, there was food on the floor along with bugs.
