Hooray hooray the cross is a great place they have a big heart for dogs as the construction on Elgin has the water fountain at the dog park off the dogs were just panting their brains out no one brought water with them I said wait I'll make a call to the cross which the dog park is right behind and asked them if they could fill some water bowls which they sent out a nice waitress to get the bowls and the dogs had water thanks once again the cross pub and eatery check them out.

Great place for live music while sipping a Guinness!☘

Great beer at great price. Every day of week there would be a menu item on special for under $10. Good value.

Don't come for the food, but the staff and atmosphere is great and the beer is always good.

My man Leroy runs the kitchen. The chicken and waffles and Leroy are why I have gone and would go again. The space has potential and loads of seating. The patio is A great perch to people watch or celebrate with Sens mile during a playoff run. The one major upgrade this place could use for my tastes is their beer list. No local beer when I went, not even a Beaus.

Came here for a chicken & waffle pop-up. Food was okay. Friendly staff and it's an interesting layout. It's on the 2nd floor and patio plus a third interior balcony. Although all nooks make for slow service. We waited quite some time to be seen and again, even more time to be served.
I've walked by this place a thousand times. Chef Leroy, famously known for being from Detroit but also being the father of soul food in Ottawa runs this kitchen. The classics of chicken and waffles and Mac n cheese, corn bread....it's all here and it's all delicious!! The bar side is average with a decent selection of beers on tap. Chef Leroy is an Ottawa institution in his own right and deserves all credit. People are drawn to his cooking. Can't wait to come back!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Terrible. TERRIBLE. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is some of the worst food I have seen in my life. Went on All-You-Can-Eat Mussel night, expecting next to nothing, and it was still dreadful. Once the food was on the table, I advised the other members of the party not to eat it. The mussels looked as if they had been frozen, thrown into a steamer, and entirely forgotten of for weeks. Service was poor. Absolutely awful across the board. NO NO NO.

I love the food at the cross. Especially their Tuesdays and Wednesdays for $10 all you can eat tacos and spaghetti nights. Great live music too on the weekends.
