Nice welcome even though he is unilingual in English.
Tasty steak served according to the wishes of the 5 guests.
Warm atmosphere.

Parking: Poorly lit, poorly indicated exit.

Impeccable service. Delicious food. The 4 rather than the 5 is a downside for rap music which in my opinion breaks the rustic and refined atmosphere of the place. However, there is no shortage of artists who could enhance the experience: Leonard Cohen, Norah Jones etc.

My fiancée and I have been dining at The Keg Manor a couple of times a year for many years now. We’ve always enjoyed the ambiance and the quality of the food, but over the past two years, we’ve noticed a significant decline in the service.

We typically prefer to arrive later in the evening and savor our meal over multiple courses. However, during our recent visits, we’ve felt rushed by the waiters. On several occasions, the next course has arrived before we’ve finished the previous one.

Yesterday evening was particularly disappointing. Our appetizer of oven-baked shrimp and our salads from the Keg Classics were served at the same time. We hadn’t even finished the salads when, 5 minutes in, the steaks were already brought to the table, despite us ordering everything separately to avoid such overlap. Normally, we like to take our time, staying for about two and a half to three hours, but tonight we were done with all courses and had paid in just under an hour and a half.

If we don’t explicitly ask the waiter or waitress to space out the courses, the food tends to arrive all at once, rather than being served in a proper sequence. When we’ve raised our concerns, the waitress has offered vague excuses—such as the kitchen preparing the food faster than expected or not wanting it to get cold. However, as a former waiter in fine dining, I know these are just attempts to cover up what seems like a lack of awareness and interest to the dining experience of her clients.

It’s a shame, because the food quality remains as good as ever, but the service has become a disappointment. We may have to consider trying other steakhouses in the future if this trend continues.

I would have expected better for the price.
Someone at our table had their steak overcooked, mine was undercooked. There was a … coffee bean (?) in someone’s water glass. Was given dirty cutlery.

The dessert was excellent and then baked brie appetizer was great. Servers were stellar.

Overall it was a good experience, but I can have a better and cheaper steak elsewhere.

First off the service was absolutely outstanding.
My waiter Matt was excellent, he was attentive and his personality was a nice compliment to the environment.
The restaurant itself is quite unique. The dining room/s are very nice.
Lasty the food, all of which was although cooked properly was very underwhelming.
My app was good, my main was steak w/fries and veg. Steak was not as impressive as I would of liked but was certainly acceptable.
The fries are just frozen and the side sauces are just some stuff from a bag unfortunately. The sides and sauces was where most of the meal was lacking.
All combined made for a not bad meal, but a not so impressive steak frites.
If you have a little more to spend I would suggest Al's steakhouse. Food wise anyway.

This is not a review about the quality of food. I just wanted to express my extreme disappointment in the fact that there are no change tables in the washrooms/ any other designated areas. When I asked the waitress if they had change tables her response was “no we just tell people to go change them in their car”. It was 4 degrees out tonight and we had to park on the street because the parking lot was full… We had even called ahead to make sure that the restaurant could accommodate a toddler and we were told it was no problem.

Kid-friendliness: No change tables or space to change toddlers

Everything was perfection during a business meeting I had with a party of 6. When I made the reservation, I asked for a quieter table, and they were happy to accommodate by putting us upstairs. We ended up staying for 3 hours, and our server checked up on us often enough, but not to the point of disrupting our meeting.

The food quality, as usual, was amazing. Everyone loved their food, and I loved my 14-oz prime rib.
