I'm on a disability income but decided to splurge a bit and see a drag show here, only to listen to a queen make fun of poor people. Yeah, what a nice, "welcoming" atmosphere you've got here.Also, for an LGBT+ bar, you'd expect that the performers wouldn't assume people's pronouns, but they do.

Horrid bar with awful staff... I don't know how this place stays in business, I don't have fun here. I first went to Lookout in 1999, and its always years apart for me to go again, and then its awful again. It should be a fun bar, but the last 3 times I've gone were absolutely terrible. Each visit was about 5 years apart and somehow its always still terrible. All of my worst bar experiences were here, and its purely because of the staff. I don't know how it manages to be so bad.

Even though I am straight I love this bar. I like the diversity and the cool atmosphere and the very friendly staff specially the two female bartenders, very hardworking and most friendly and respectful, both my friends and of course Roxy, the best DJ. in the world and the cool friendly gent who collects cover charges at the door on most Saturday nights. I go Saturdays and this is a good opportunity for a good dancing exercise and tasteful drinks at great price as it is also a cool friendly place to dance and have fun.
My friend who is a woman walked into the woman's bathroom as she needed to, as she should. she saw a man right then and there washing his hands at the sink. she took a step out, looked again at the door to make sure she was in fact walking into the woman's which had a "W". She said to the obvious man that she thought this was the woman's. He told her he is allowed to be there, which obviously was uncomfortable and violating for my friend. She waited until he was done then went back in.If the woman's bathroom is in fact a nongendered bathroom, and if this is how the men's functions as well, they should be advertised as such on the door. Unsafe space.

Ce bar est juste incroyable ! Nous y sommes allées un soir en semaine et nous avons eu la surprise d’assister à un show de drag queen, qui était tout simplement génial ! L’équipe est adorable et l’ambiance est chaleureuse et agréable. N’hésitez pas à y aller pour passer une bonne soirée à Ottawa !
