I had a wonderful experience at this charming little pub. The food was not only delicious but also very well priced, offering great value for the quality. Our server, Annie, was absolutely superb—friendly, attentive, and truly went out of her way to cater to our every need. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of friendly vibes, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend.
My favourite bar in Ottawa. Guaranteed to be a good time no matter what day you go
Charming Pub with good portions and authentic pub food. I was barely able to finish my dessert, and I never back up from food. Staff very welcoming and accomodating.
good ass food, like seriously good. a diamond in a black sea of infertile millennial traps where nothing is served except for stale beer and shitty bar food. the manx is like. the opposite of that
I liked the lamb curry wrap and I general the food is good
It's been a couple of years since I've been at the Manx, but my fav, the lamb curry wrap, still hits, and the staff is phenomenal. Definitely recommend.
Love to stop here for brunch or a drink. It’s cozy and friendly service.
Hidden gem for food. Everything is top notch!
Always a good place to be. Top notch food and drink - and TV-free, so you’re stuck with actually talking to people. Or playing games, or quietly reading a book in the afternoon. The staff actually know what they’re serving and are worth talking to when it’s not too busy.
That’s the only catch, really. It’s small and it fills up, especially on weekend evenings or Sunday brunch. Go early, or go on a weeknight.
I came to have brunch, but they told me they were not serving more food. It was only 1pm and in their website says 2:30. so disrespectful with people's time.

The website says that brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is served until 2:30 pm for dine-in only... We traveled all the way to the place today, on a Sunday, from afar. We arrived at 1:30 pm, and they told us they were no longer serving food. What a lack of respect for the customer, and we were only two people. Disappointing.
Visited for lunch on a Monday - wasn't overly busy but the service was great and food was delicious - I'll definitely head back
Ottawa's favourite basement pub! Now, what you'd expect from a basement pub is friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and a good beer menu, and the Manx has all of that. What might surprise you is how damn good the food is! I've had so many good meals there over the years. There's always some pub classics, burgers or sandwiches etc, but there's always some more adventurous dishes that you don't expect at a pub and I have been thoroughly impressed by everything I've eaten here over the years.
Probably the best casual bar/pub in Ottawa. The vibes are immaculate l, the beer selection is good, the food is really well done, they do brunch (which for some reason nearby bars don't do) which is also definitely worth checking out. All in all my go-to on Elgin St.
Best club sandwich in town!!! The house salad is also made to perfection every time! The place is an ottawa establishment and feels like your going home ever vist
