The girls working there were super sweet and nice! The gingerbread cone is delicious, I had my chihuahua in my coat because it was -15 outside and the owner asked if that was a dog in my coat and me staying the obvious said yes lol … then when I left she came running outside when I was leaving and told me I couldn’t bring my dog if I was to ever come back …after I was already leaving. Ice cream is great, the girls were great, the owner was rude.

Merry Dairy is a wonderful local shop! We bought 3 pints of Christmas-themed ice cream and they are delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is just out-of-the-way enough while still being super close to Westboro. Well worth the visit!

I love the Merry Dairy. Their ice cream is amazing and I love the frozen custard during the summer. However, tonight a gentleman who was on the closing shift was very rude to me. We were part of the last customers and got in just after 8pm. The people behind us got to hold the sign indicating to other customers that the store is now closed so we were not late. We arrived at 7:45pm. It just took some time to get served which is common as the store is normally very busy. When we finally got in, I asked to try some of the new Christmas flavours. I am not quoting him verbatim, but the gentleman told me to bear in mind that they are closed and I have to be quick. He also said some people want to come in the store and try every flavour. I only wanted to try two flavours which would not have taken more than a minute really. The rest of the service consisted of the two closing employees discussing how they often close earlier and how next week there will be three people closing instead. Now I understand the desire to go home after a long shift because I’ve worked in customer service but at no point do you take that out on customers. If you don’t want to serve us, it’s better to just turn us away than to make us feel uncomfortable. If this was our first time here- we may have been totally put off the store entirely. Other than this - I love the Merry Dairy and will keep coming back for the ice cream. In past, many of the other employees are usually really nice.

This place is INCREDIBLE. Their establishment is peanut/nut free which is amazing. I’ve always struggled with finding icecream stores that I can eat at because of my allergy.
The worker Jioanna is very welcoming and knows her stuff. She helped me decide what’s the best flavour with her recommendations. She also offered I try the flavours I was unsure about. I really loved her vibe and she makes me want to return to this place.
The icecream is incredible. I like the peppermint crackle as a mint girlie at heart. Only thing I wish is that they sold earl grey during this season because I love tea flavoured icecreams.
11/10 icecream shop, I recommend the drive here - it’s worth it.
Truly a gem of a business and curator of amazing icecream ! Always friendly and helpful staff. Lines can be long but the atmosphere of the establishment makes the wait more bearable, and the product is definitely worth it!

The best ice cream shop in Hintonburg! Lovely local ice cream shop with excellent baristas and a lovely atmosphere. They are extremely well known by the community of Hintonburg and have an excellent reputation. Great tourist destination as well!
Kid-friendliness: Perfect place to bring your kiddies for a little treat. They have a patio equipped with kid-sized chairs and a Bluetooth speaker!
