The coffee was well-prepared, and the staff were friendly and very quick in making it.

I used to visit this place 2-3 times a week before being out of the country for almost 2 years. Sad to say the Ministry of Coffee is now unrecognizable to me. This used to be a busy, hip place that served great coffee and sandwiches during the day and strong cocktails and snacks at night. When I last visited, I actually thought it was about to close down -- the staff seem bored and uninterested, empty shelves with little choice of food, all the booze has gone, and it's just a very rundown and tired vibe. I have NO idea what happened, but hope they turn it around quickly.

This time it was the cinnamon bun (…how can they have one better than my own homemade!?!) and the moka, of course, the best ever, well balanced, not too sweet, chocolatey and so tasty!

The veggie breakfast sandwich was really good but the cappuccino was watered down

"Paper lids" for to go coffee is insane. It changes the coffee flavor and you end up with wooden "popsicle stick" in your mouth vibe.

I would bet most of the things you have shipped in come in some sort of plastic. Find something else to be passionate about because this is ridiculous. I bought a coffee today, took the lid after realizing it was my only option, went outside and threw the entire thing in the garbage. C'mon people.. no one cares that I used a plastic lid. At least give people a choice.

Cortado was really good with doughnuts from Suzy Q, next door. The coffee was aromatic and smooth.

Service a little confused. Medium coffee was terrible, tasted old. But they announceD just after I sat down with it they were closing in 10 minutes, so that might explain things. But not excuse them.

I wish I could only review certain items, as the Iced Chai Latte is probably the worst I’ve had in Ottawa. It was essentially a tall glass of milk with a dash of cinnamon on top. Nice spot and nice staff but I was so disappointed with my order. Iced chai lovers beware haha
Also worth mentioning, if you have food/takeout with you, you can’t sit-in or sit at the outside tables, even if you’re not going to eat it.

Really cute coffee shop with good coffee. My sister drinks matcha and this is her favourite spot in Ottawa
