We walked in to grab a coffee on the way to the park with our daughter, & to grab a bag of espresso beans for our new coffee machine. The electronic payment system was down, not their fault obviously, but the people working refusing to take cash as payment because they’d have “hundreds to punch in at the end of the day” is ridiculous. Zero customer service. Cash is cash.

Coffee is ‘okay’. Food is a no-go. Almost broke my teeth trying to bite into their cookie.
This used to be my favourite coffee shop. I went weekly to get a maple latte. The servers were fantastic. So friendly & accommodating. That little latte brought me so much joy. I can only have natural syrups due to allergies so I was thrilled to be accommodated. Just had one 2 days ago! Then I went today with my family, looking forward to our latte and the person at the cash denied me. He curtly said they’ve never offered maple lattes. I told him that I’ve ordered dozens of them and he said his staff should not have served them to me. One of the kind staff there said that they do have maple syrup and they could serve me today but the person at the cash said no, they are saving it for a special drink in the new year and I can’t get maple lattes there anymore. He was intimidating & unkind. There was no accommodation or apology. I was shocked at his behaviour. My previous experience there had been so lovely. I didn’t know what to say so I left. I tried to reach out later to discuss my concerns but they haven’t responded. So disappointing. I love supporting local. Will have to take my business elsewhere I suppose. The Driphouse has lovely maple lattes. Lovely staff and setting there & I love to support local spots that are kind & accommodating towards me.In my search for accommodating coffee shops, I also found the Happy Goat - they too offer lattes with maple syrup!:)

Humble little coffee shop. Very welcoming, friendly staff. Great coffee!Parking: Plenty of parking less than a minute walk away.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, concrete floors.
Visiting Ottawa again after many years in Australia being a coffee snob, and I’ve got to say this is so far the best tasting coffee I’ve had in Ottawa so far. They even offer my go to drink in Australia here. And offer soy milk which a lot of cafes here don’t.The individual who took my order was quite flat and had originally entered in a different coffee to what I had ordered with a $1 difference. And wasn’t able to properly explain to me what had been punched in.But service aside. Great baristas here, great coffee and espresso. Wish I had come here earlier as my trip is almost over!

Came in with a friend today, we both used to work here. The espresso was dialed in well, as was the filter.Staff were a big highlight. Both very nice, very friendly, and obviously cared. One of them has been there for a couple years now... Hopefully they're promoted to manager soon.

Used to love this place. Not sure what has changed here but it's going downhill, both in terms of food quality and cleanliness of place. Gave them the benefit of doubt THREE times but it's not getting any better. This was the last time visiting here. Bummer because they used to be so good.
