Overall I like the Rowan's service staff, which is always cheery, professional and upbeat. The food is hit or miss however..I was there recently and the person I was with order Tofu, and it basically came to the table like a steak.. Ever had a tofu steak? not very appealing in any way. The breakfast is usually decent as it’s hard to screw up a breaky. The music is usually pretty fun too, and the place sports a decent vibe.

We arrived early for our lunch and were seated promptly. We began with a lovely spicy cocktail. I had the steak frites and my wife had the Tuna tartare. Both were beautifully presented and delicious. Service was warm, attentive and knowledgable. This lunch was just perfect. Many thanks to the whole team.

We had arrived at the restaurant 15 min before closing today for brunch - before even coming in, a blonde lady and a young server were unhappy with our presence, and seemed annoyed that we came in at that time of day. After we sat at our table, in the span of around 4 minutes, our server came to see us at least 3 times rushing us to order, even looking at his watch to check the time. The atmosphere felt very unwelcoming, so we chose to leave. It was a disappointing experience.

Every time we come back, there is something new and interesting on the menu. As a starter, the Beet and Carrot Fritters were delicious. The Scallops and Pork Belly were rich and savory, but it was the Roasted Cauliflower that stole the show. When it was placed in front of me, I thought, how can a head of cauliflower be a meal? It was an eye-opener. The cauliflower was roasted to tender perfection. It's mild sweetness was the perfect vehicle for the rich carrot-coconut-lemongrass puree, the tangy mint sauce and crunchy peanuts. It was a complete meal in itself and every bite was a burst of flavor. Would definitely order again. We'll be back!

Spectacular food and drinks options, equally matched by all the friendly, expeditious staff. The parmesan fries and beet amd carrot fritters were So, So, So Good! Added slaws elevated the fritters even more. Chef was very gracious suggesting a change to my request of the pasta without the chicken. Ron Burgundy and Blueberry Fields cocktails are extremely delicious to sip and enjoy.

Went to Rowan and was so impressed by the food. We had two appetizers, both of which were generous in size. They were delicious. Husband had a steak and I had the salmon. We then shared the chocolate torte. Again, everything was so good. We were impressed by the fact that the prices were not crazy high, like many other restaurants (several of which do not serve dishes that are as good as what we had at Rowan's). We will definitely return.

Stopped by for brunch on a Saturday morning, attentive service, seated in the large open window so great atmosphere, steak and eggs delish, coffee could have been hotter, burger and fries also well received. French toast massive! Well priced <$100 CAD for 3. Would recommend.
