First off, flamingos. That’s right, more than one. I was reminded of this when I saw pictures of them on a beach, but that was somehow deleted.
I will be back again!
Attention to this matter has been lackluster as so far they blame the “tropical weather”. Suuuuuuuuuuure.
Food was fantastic! Staff was wonderful!

A nice corner pub with a lot of potential. The portion size is fairly meager for what you pay. Can't help but feel like many of the items are taken out of a fridge and microwaved. $50 for two beers and an abysmal appetizer leaves you with no motivation to return.

A cozy, easygoing neighborhood pub! Royal Oak Beechwood feels brighter and cleaner than Clocktower, though the food does take a bit longer to arrive. On the plus side, the wine prices are much more reasonable than at Clocktower. 👌

Our server was covering half the restaurant on her own, yet she handled it amazingly and remained friendly and attentive despite the heavy workload. Truly impressive service under pressure!

In town for a friends wedding and we met up with the bride and groom-to-be at the Royal Oak and absolutely loved it!

The fish and chips are authentic and ordering a blackened-cider was easy as pie. Most other palaces seem to not know what it is.

Amazing atmosphere and would love to come here again next time I visit Ottawa.

The fish and chips had too much batter, not enough fish.
Quesadilla hardly any meat or stuffing inside.
Nevertheless, the waiter was on point, friendly and attentive.

The worst Nachos of my life. And I’m a nacho connoisseur. Don’t waste your money.

For years…..We used to go there 2 & 3 a week. It was great…. Breakfast, lunch, dîners and drinks for happy hour. It started with service and attitude for happy hour going down hill. Then, our orders for breakfast were often not what we ordered….ok no big deal….but it got worse…. we even accepted to take someone else’s meal which was not correct … they charged us an extra price for it. The bartender’s attitude….well don’t get me started….Now you know why we and my friends no longer go there…..Oh, I forgot, check the dust going down the stairs, under the tables….cigarette butts outside….

We were there for brunch /lunch while visiting Ottawa on the weekend. The food took over an hour. We ordered bfast items, fish and chips and chicken fingers. All of our egg dishes were overcooked. My eggs Benedict was dry as the desert. We mentioned it to our server and she took 2 plates off our bill (we were 8 ppl) which was nice of her, but we'd choose another place next time.

Food, service and atmosphere are all top notch at the Beechwood Royal Oak!
The 4 stars over all is ONLY due to the removal of the Asian noodles from the menu. A personal favorite I used to have weekly until last Fall.
