I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich here and it was pretty good. The prices were reasonable, the staff were friendly, the bathroom was tidy. This is a pleasant place to grab some pub grub in Ottawa.
Went there for a team lunch, and the food was disappointing. The steak I ordered was very dry, almost as if it had been precooked, which definitely did not meet the standard of Royal Oak. The service was okay.
We managed to snag a table on the patio today; it’s Canada Day, so wait times everywhere were horrendous. We were told right at introduction to our server that it would be an hour wait for food. We appreciated the transparency. My teens and I ordered beverages and had our order ready. We received our drinks right away and took in the surrounding scenery and Snow Birds show.
