It was a terrible time here, food took forever to come out and ontop of that it was cold. The female bartenders ignore you one you try to politely get their attention, just to serve the regulars they recognize, Along with prioritizing staff that are off work there to have a drink. One I finally got her attention she was vary rude and Impolite, she clearly saw me several time trying to get her attention I made eye contact and she continued to ignore me. Don't recommend going here better off going to Conner's pub down the road or anywhere else in Orleans.

It's the oak.. hasn't changed much and that's what's nice about it.

They don't serve them because they are chatting with customers at the bar.

Fathers Day breakfast became lunch as we waited for over an hour for our food. The server was lovely as she explained they were down one person. Their breakfast menu is simple and we ordered basic eggs and toast meals, and it took over an hour for the food to arrive - room temp toast and eggs are unpleasant. We ate because we were hungry. My spouse is diabetic and had taken her insulin in anticipation of the food arrival but did not count on such a long wait. Advice to manager: have a contingency plan so your ONE server - who was kind and pleasant - is not so stretched otherwise the problem lands in the laps of your customers.
This is not the first time that we have had delayed service due to personnel issues. We will not plan to return here for a meal again.

Monday night wings were very good. You have a choice of traditional or breaded wings. They also serve non-alcohol beers like Heineken and other mainstream brands

The service is very slow. The atmosphere is dingy. We actually got up and left after being ignored by the server for 20 minutes. We were never greeted. Never brought menus. He came to the section twice while we were there and he never even gave eye contact. We left pretty quickly and went to another pub down the road which was amazing. Try Shoeless Joe's or Bad Alibi or Orleans Brewing Company or Broadhead Brewery. Basically any pub but here.

Stand up people working at this pub. My son missed his bus and it was -15 degrees out. I asked him to go inside the pub to wait for me to pick him up. We were both worried he'd be told he wasn't allowed inside, but instead, was warmly greeted by a server and asked if he was ok. He was even offered a chocolate bar. This type of thing restores my faith in humanity a little bit. Thank you!

A huge thank you to the Royal Oak Orleans owners and staff who recognized serving military and veterans on Remembrance Day by providing a free meal. The service was great and the food was tasty. Based on our experience, we will return.

Parking: Plenty of parking at this strip mall.

The Oak is about as generic of a chain pin as you are going to get. Nothing to write home about, but never disappointing either if you have appropriate expectations.

Went for October fest event 6-9pm & enjoyed the time there. The bratwurst platter: sausages were delicious, sauerkraut good, served with tasty mushroom sauce (on side). The "reibe pfannekuchen" (potato pancakes) were made the way they should taste; the red cabbage was not authentic German "rotkohl" as that's usually marinated & spiced (bayleaf, etc) nevertheless it was steamed & fine the way it was. German beer tasty addition.. Atmosphere was great, we talked to other patrons at tables beside us & the Beerstein holding contest was difficult, albeit fun to watch. The band was worth it, made for a pleasant night out.
PS: a meal at a Royal Oak pub has always been satisfying to date..I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture of my plate.
