The latte that was served to two of us arrived luke warm and looked like a powder was dropped in the cup and warm water added....was awful...not worth $1.00 let alone $6.00. Ham in the eggs Benedict was burnt and the meal was luke warm as well. Potatoe and leek soup was edible but just...certainly not freshly made. My husband said his club was fine but the other guy didn't like his. When we complained to the waitress about how terrible the latte and eggs Benedict was she said she would tell the cook...that was it. Certainly won't go back.
The ambiance is very welcoming, specially now with the Christmas decorations. We went on Wednesday bc there is live music from a wonderful local singer. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious. We ordered Baked brie for appetizer, Braised Lamb, and beef as main dishes, and red velvet cake for dessert. It was a lovely evening.
Venue: very pretty with great decor - they’ve made great use of the space.Food: It was good. The truffle fries were fried in truffle oil I believe, but there wasn’t much sprinkled atop. But that’s a minor point.Service: I’m not one to leave bad Google Reviews, but this was an exception. It took exactly 55 minutes for the food to arrive (which would’ve been slightly more acceptable if it was busy, but it was 1 PM on a Sunday) and one of my friends had to have his order fixed. Our server was nice, but didn’t bring an extra napkin after he spilled a small bit of water on the table, didn’t clear our dishes until well after we were done, and rarely checked on us for more drinks or water. Moreover, other tables who arrived later had their food served much earlier than us.
Stopped in for a later dinner with a friend. Was seated right away (having made a reservation) while I waited for my friend. It took a long time for a server to come over to offer me water and a drink menu while I waited, and even longer for them to come take my drink order. Once my friend arrived, we were able to order drinks and food fairly quickly with not too much of a wait time for food to come out from the kitchen. The food was good (a gnocchi and a seafood pasta dish) and generously portioned, but our server did not come to check on us during the meal, did not offer us refills on drinks, and took a very long time after we finished to bring us the bill. The restaurant was not busy by that time, so it wasn't clear what the delay was. Overall, I would go back, but it would not be my top choice in the area.
Fantastic food in perfect portions. We went during peak brunch time hours on a Sunday and even though it was busy it never felt too crowded or rushed. The staff is incredibly friendly and the food was fresh & delicious. There’s a reason this place is so popular!
went with a ladies group -man waiter should be waitress Church ladies group food good pancakes however very pricey goes from $9 other woman had very elaborate dishes cuisines and mine was the same price $24 plus tip almost $30 brunch not that great food
Our waiter Malcolm was amazing! Super kind, funny, and accommodating. They have great deals on Tuesday’s, Wednesdays, and Friday’s. I had a lovely dinner accompanied by fantastic live music with Chris Smith. And the food is DELICIOUS. Highly recommend.
Had a lovely brunch here over the weekend and I loved this spot. It’s beautiful and bright inside with a lovely vibe.Malcolm, our server, was absolutely spectacular at his job. He was so affable, funny and attentive; he made our experience worthwhile. The food was delicious; I got the Florentine Benedict and it was scrumptious. The potatoes were my favourite. Will definitely be going back here for dinner soon.
The service here was great. Our waiter was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. I got the burger with a gluten free bread and my friend got the lentil rice. The food was a bit of a disappointment, it was bland and left us unsatisfied. Overall it was an okay experience.
LOVED this place! Would go again when in the area. Amazing food. We had brunch and the crepes were so yummy and a large regular type breakfast and the crispy potatoes were the best I’ve ever had.Our server Hannah did a great job! Amazing service all around. Tons of staff.Such a nice playlist of music too!

Had a great brunch with dear friends yesterday and we all enjoyed the food and ambiance.Nathan, our waiter took great care of us ! We will all definitely return.5 stars.
We were a group of 8 and had a wonderful time here. Our server Malcolm went above and beyond our expectation and got to know each of us by our names. The food was delicious, the ambiance was fantastic and we can’t wait to come back.
Took the family for brunch on a Sunday around 11:30am. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Service was good (not great) but the food was amazing. We had eggs benedict, the challah french toast and the banquet breakfast. All plates were filled with food - portions were excellent and everything was delicious. Will absolutely come back again for breakfast/brunch.
I went here for lunch on a Saturday back in April 2022. The food was quite good. I really enjoyed the Savoy Burger and the french onion soup (four stars for the food). In terms of the service, it was very very poor/awful (1 star - very disappointing). It took forever for the food to arrive, and our order got mixed up. Also, the waiter serving us did not show proper customer service, and treated us differently from the beginning when compared to the other tables. Our waiter was also rude, and very disrespectful. The place did not feel welcoming at all because of our waiter's attitude. I won't be coming back. I rather go to the Metropolitain Brasserie where there is better service.
This restaurant/service is by far the worst experience I've ever had and will give it zero star if it was an option! I don't normally write restaurant reviews but I have never been disappointed, disrespected and angered that I feel the obligation to write to caution others. My husband and I was visiting a friend in Ottawa and we decided to take her to a supposedly "nice" dinner the other night. I was expecting an elegant dining experience based on its website pictures and presentation as French restaurant but I was shocked to see its condition--dirty floors and walls that need scrubbing, small, dirty and sticky tables, sticky bathroom door. The open windows style makes it hard to hear conversation because of traffic and there are also flies hovering the tables. I wanted to go somewhere else but we were all hungry that I decided to give it a chance. Our waitress although trying to be friendly, was weird and inappropriately chatty and told us about how her drunken mother would be carried by her father. She also questioned our choice of place to visit; it seems that she is not happy to be living in Ottawa. In 2-3 occasions she tried to monopolize the conversation. She is also a terrible listener, while taking orders, I told her I would like a virgin cocktail as I am on prescription but she came back with an alcoholic drink so I ended up not drinking it. Our friend is allergic to tomatoes so we tried to find something on the menu that has no tomatoes, and when we told her about the choice, we let her know about the dietary restriction and to make sure there is no tomatoes. Instead of checking in the kitchen, she told us there shouldn't be any tomatoes on it. The food came back with tomatoes so our friend couldn't eat it. We also waited for almost an hour for our food, although there was not too many diners at that time. When the food came, we didn't have any plates so we had to wait for her to bring our plates, although she could have done it during the long hour wait. She did not refill our water and had to ask her 3 times before I had a water refill! She also forgot my friend's wine! I was the one paying for the meal, and I tipped based on my dining experience. I could easily give a zero tip based on poor service but I still decided to give her a modest tip. Our waitress was not happy about it and right in front of our friend and other customers, questioned me about her tip. She told us that with the tip I gave her, she basically is paying for our food! We had a $280 plus dollar food bill! I was so shocked and before I could say anything, she stomped away from our table. I then went to see her at the counter to explain to her why she got that amount based our dining experience and it was rude of her to question a customer like that and she could have requested to talk to me in private as I could easily give her more (the other night, I had a great dining experience in a restaurant and gave 30-40 percent tip!) However, she became defensive and argumentative so I asked for her manager. The manager was not in so I asked for the number but she refused to give it. She proceeded in harrassing our friend for my friend's number so she can "protect" her job. She totally ruined the evening and I will never ever recommend this restaurant to anyone! Please save your money and go somewhere else. This is a below average restaurant and made worse by a rude and overbearing server!
